Wolt Market/HOP is Wolt/Deliveroo’s owned and operated grocery business, focused on delivering the best customer experience through high-quality selection, strong availability, and fast delivery. As 1P continues to scale across multiple countries, we are looking for a Manager, Strategy & Operations to help drive sustainable topline growth and bottomline performance.
This role works closely with the Head of Wolt Mart / HOP and Regional General Managers (RGMs) to define strategic priorities, drive key growth initiatives, and ensure delivery of financial and operational targets. The person will act as a key partner to Marketing, Finance, Category Management, and other global functional teams, ensuring alignment between strategy, planning, and execution.
The role combines strategic thinking with strong execution ownership, requiring exceptional analytical skills, structured problem solving, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across 30+ markets.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Performance Ownership (Topline & Bottomline)- Partner closely with the Head of Wolt Market / HOP and RGMs to drive sustainable growth and profitability across markets
- Track and manage topline (GOV, orders, basket size) and bottomline (contribution margin, EBITDA, cost efficiency) performance
- Identify performance gaps, diagnose root causes, and drive corrective actions across markets
- Build forecasting models and performance tracking frameworks to ensure visibility and accountability against targets
- Partner closely with Finance on annual planning, forecasting, and target setting processes
- Support development of long-term growth plans, investment cases, and strategic initiatives
- Ensure alignment between financial targets and operational execution across markets
- Monitor performance vs plan and drive actions to close gaps where needed
- Partner with Marketing to define and execute growth initiatives across acquisition, retention, and basket size expansion
- Identify and prioritize high-impact growth levers and ensure effective execution across markets
- Measure and evaluate impact of growth initiatives and continuously optimize based on performance
- Support development of scalable playbooks to drive consistent growth across markets
- Partner closely with Category Management, Product, Operations, and other global teams to drive key strategic initiatives
- Lead cross-functional projects end-to-end, from problem definition to execution and impact measurement
- Build scalable tools, processes, and operating models that enable strong execution across 30+ countries
- Ensure strong alignment between global strategy and local market execution
- Use Looker, Excel, and other BI tools to analyze business performance and identify actionable insights
- Build dashboards, models, and performance tracking tools to support decision making
- Translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Support experimentation and test-and-learn approaches to optimize performance
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Strategy & Operations, management consulting, investment banking, tech companies, or high-growth retail/e-commerce environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and cross-functional environments
- Experience working with financial planning, growth strategy, or operational performance management is strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Strong experience using BI tools such as Looker to extract insights and drive decision making
- Strong data-driven mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
- SQL experience is a plus but not required
- Outstanding structured problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex and ambiguous problems
- Ability to identify high-impact opportunities and prioritize effectively
- Strong business judgment and ability to connect strategy with operational execution
- Proven ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, including General Managers and global functional leaders
