Responsible for the development of clear, executable strategies for QBE Asia and our strategic partnerships that support profitable growth and the achievement of the QBE Asia growth ambition
Responsibilities:
- Define, set up, and manage a Market Intelligence capability for QBE Asia. This Market Intelligence capability collects and analyses data on wider economic trends and insurance industry trends in Asia.
- ‘Translate’ market intelligence data into relevant insights that can be shared with QBE Asia leaders and will feed into QBE Asia’s strategic planning processes
- Manage and facilitate the development of the QBE Asia strategy and strategies for our strategic partners with a focus on ‘customer first’ and the fair exchange of value between customers, partners and QBE
- Collaborate with relevant regional and country stakeholders on strategic communication and support the ‘translation’ of the strategy into executable plans
- Develop, implement and manage a value realization framework that will assist in tracking progress of strategy execution, value realization, and benefit realization of relevant strategic Transformation initiatives
- Uplift the strategic thinking capability across the QBE Asia countries and functions
- Ensure awareness of latest market trends, industry trends, tech trends etc. by liaising with relevant QBE counterparts, external organizations/thought leaders/etc.
Skills & Experience:
- 4-5 years experience in a strategy consulting firm or at least 6 years experience within an in-house strategy function
- Well versed in the application of design thinking principles, problem solving techniques, and rigorous hypothesis driven approach including an advanced strategy toolkit
- Advanced commercial and business acumen and understanding of financial and non-financial performance drivers
- Advanced storyboarding and PowerPoint deck writing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to manage all levels of management & multiple stakeholders
