What you'll be doing
The Senior Manager, Sponsorships supports day to day management of National and regional Sponsorships across Canada. These partnerships create opportunities for our bank to acquire and deepen relationships with our clients which in turn support accelerating growth and fostering positive client relationships.
Reporting into the Senior Director, Sponsorships, the Senior Manager, Sponsorships will lead on the Sponsorship Partnership portfolio. This role manages all aspects of the relationship including contract management, partnering with internal stakeholders, seamlessly manage property event activations and oversee performance reporting and analytics to drive value for CIBC. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to leverage the internal and external network of stakeholders to drive results, ability to manage detailed processes and have a creative and solutions based approach. This role will assist in annual planning and maintaining key campaign measurement tools for the broader sponsorship team

How you’ll succeed
- Ensure effective project management of events including planning, briefing, execution and measurement of key activations with your properties, from event logistics to management of leadership members involved.
- Work with business partners (internal/external) to execute against approved strategy and implement measures for success.
- Effectively project manage assigned campaigns/projects, including internal and agency timelines/deliverables.
- Manage internal approval processes on programs and campaigns.
- Ensure initiatives deliver against plan objectives, are aligned to divisional strategic priorities and support key marketing principles.
- Collaborate closely with Sponsorship Marketing to ensure alignment with our product/service marketing communication and to determine relevant products/service solutions should they be a component of the Sponsorship campaign.
- Maintain internal cross functional relationships.
- Engage with third party suppliers and agency partners.
- Manage related budget reporting for assigned initiatives.
- Co-ordinate tracking results and conducting post campaign analysis with other departments such as research stakeholders.
- Ensure on-going communication and manage on-going weekly status updates on all aspects of assigned projects and responsibilities owned.
- Proactively identify new and effective ways to maximize Sponsorship potential and ROI.
- Build and develop relationships with the key stakeholder contacts to become a true trusted business partner.
- Support other sponsorship and marketing initiatives as required.
