We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager – Software to lead and scale our engineering teams responsible for building customer-facing applications and developer infrastructure. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineering leader who excels at balancing technical depth, product intuition, organizational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work closely with Product, Design, Operations, and other Engineering leaders to define and execute on our roadmap, while scaling the team and raising the bar on engineering excellence. You’ll be instrumental in influencing the direction of the product and ensuring the architecture supports NexHealth’s growth and innovation goals.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Drive the long-term vision and technical strategy for critical areas of NexHealth’s platform.
- Team Development: Hire, grow, and retain top engineering talent; mentor emerging leaders; and foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and innovation.
- Execution Excellence: Own the delivery of complex initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring clear alignment between product goals and technical execution.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
- Technical Oversight: Guide system architecture, scalability, and maintainability across product domains; champion best practices in code quality, testing, reliability, and security.
- Org & Culture Building: Shape organizational structures, career paths, and team processes to promote high performance and strong engineering culture.
- Proven track record (7+ years) leading engineering teams, including managing managers or larger orgs.
- Exceptional people leadership skills with experience coaching engineers and managers.
- Deep experience delivering complex customer-facing software at scale.
- Strong judgment on balancing product velocity with long-term technical quality.
- Excellent collaborator who can work fluidly with other departments like Product, Sales, Customer Success.
- Demonstrated ability to define and drive technical and organizational roadmaps.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A builder mindset with a history of scaling teams and systems in fast-paced environments.
- Strong ownership and ability to take initiative in ambiguous, evolving contexts.
- Bias for action and data-driven decision making.
- First-principles thinking applied to both technical and organizational challenges.
