Job Description:

The Senior Sales Finance Manager leads and orchestrates key financial processes, including planning, forecasting, analytics, and governance of investments in Trade and Displays.  This role works closely with Channel Finance Leads, Sales, SRM (Sales Revenue Management), and Controllership on execution and continuous improvement of these processes to drive insights, efficiencies, and digitalization.  This role plays a key role in reporting and analytics, owning cross-functional channel processes, and supporting and developing digital tools such as Trade Dashboard, 1CPL, and more.

The Senior Sales Finance Manager is a dedicated business partner for several sub-channels and works in close partnership with the Channel Finance lead; the role initially will support Regional Grocery East and Route-to-Market (Warehouse) sub-channels and customers, and the role is expected to expand responsibility to Total Grocery channel responsibilities over the next 18 months.

  • 7+ years of related experience in FMCG
  • Experience in a matrix organization preferred
  • Experience in Demand Finance and Strong Business Acumen, including knowledge of US market and Retail landscape
  • Solid foundation in financial concepts, modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with visualization/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to right-size messaging to different levels across the organization
  • A drive for results by demonstrating appropriate urgency and persistence in delivering financial outcomes, ensuring commitments are met while balancing long- and short-term priorities
  • Curiosity to identify and ability to break down complex business challenges, leverage data-driven analysis, and develop innovative solutions that create value for customers and the business

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Serves as Business Partner for several sales teams across channels, leading periodic financial reviews, providing performance insights, supporting Sales team in trade-offs, decision making and forecasting.  Collaborates closely with Channel Finance lead.
  • Leads & orchestrates quarterly review of Trade and D&E investments in collaboration with Channel Finance Leads.  This includes process ownership, managing reporting and analytics, coordinating reviews with each channel, providing insights and key messages for aggregate outlook.
  • Owns operational processes and leads internal and external insights package with executive summaries and partners with Channel Finance Leads on narrative.
  • Supports Channel Finance Leads in quarterly Channel/Account performance reviews by providing streamlined, insightful reporting and leveraging digital tools.
  • Supports overall digital agenda, responsible for continuous improvement of digital tools, identifying and executing further opportunities for digitalization, leading customer adoption and capabilities building.
  • Transforms trade spend analytics including step-change in quality of data (account, brand, check book, promotion, periodic phasing) as well as develop suite of tools to enable insights and value creation.
  • Center of Excellence for Trade and D&E Governance. 
  • Supports internal and external audits within scope of responsibility.
  • Supports projects and ad-hoc requests.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
