Job DescriptionThe Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing strategic relationships with financial institutions across Mexico. This role leads complex enterprise sales cycles, engages directly with C‑level executives, and works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver Pismo’s cloud‑native banking, payments, and card‑issuing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account & Relationship Management
Manage and expand relationships with banks, fintech's, issuers, and other financial institutions in Mexico.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long‑term retention.
Maintain strong executive‑level relationships, presenting strategic roadmaps and solution recommendations.
Own the end‑to‑end enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and deal closure.
Develop and manage accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Drive growth through upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across Pismo’s product suite.
Understand client business models, regulatory requirements, and technology landscapes to align Pismo solutions with customer needs.
Collaborate with Product, Implementation, Technology, Legal, and Partnerships teams to deliver tailored proposals and customer outcomes.
Participate in RFP/RFI processes, ensuring high‑quality technical and commercial responses.
Stay current on trends within financial services, payments, and regulatory frameworks in Mexico.
Contribute insights to regional go‑to‑market strategies and competitive positioning.
Represent Pismo at industry events, customer workshops, and strategic meetings.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 days a week.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) with specialization in Business, Technology, or Financial Services
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (local market).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Account Management and Business Development for mid and large financial institutions in Mexico.
- Proven track record working with financial institutions (banks, fintech's, issuers, acquirers).
- Experience selling solutions like core banking, card issuing, or payments solutions.
- Strong C‑level engagement and executive‑presence capabilities. Technical understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, and financial systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Knowledge of Mexico's regulatory environment (CNBV, SPEI/SPI, AML, data privacy).
- Background in digital transformation or migration from legacy banking systems and SaaS solutions
- Based in Mexico (Mexico City).
- Willingness to travel regionally in Latin America.
