The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager Roadside Services, you will lead the strategic direction and performance of RAC’s Roadside, Batteries, Tyres and BusinessWise portfolio.

Leading a team of experienced managers, you'll drive portfolio growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, deliver innovative products and services, and ensure exceptional outcomes for our members and the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity to influence strategy, lead through change and make a lasting impact across one of RAC's most important commercial portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the long-term strategy for RAC's Roadside Products portfolio, ensuring alignment with RAC's strategic objectives and future growth.

People Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of experienced managers, fostering a high-performing leadership culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Commercial Performance: Drive sustainable commercial growth through effective portfolio management, pricing strategy, financial performance and the identification of new market opportunities.

Innovation & Growth: Champion innovation across the portfolio by identifying emerging trends, improving products and services, and delivering solutions that enhance member value and business performance.

Stakeholder & Supplier Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, executive leaders and external suppliers to deliver strategic outcomes and maximise commercial opportunities.

Governance & Portfolio Management: Provide effective governance across the portfolio, ensuring products remain commercially competitive, strategically aligned and continue to deliver exceptional member experiences.

About You

We're seeking an accomplished senior leader who has successfully lead leaders in a complex commercial environment.

You will bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within product, commercial or portfolio management.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic initiatives that deliver commercial, member and organisational outcomes.

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing leadership teams.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with responsibility for portfolio performance and growth.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Experience leading organisational change, transformation and innovation.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance long-term vision with operational delivery.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Management or a related discipline.

  • Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
