About Customer Communications Review team and the Senior Manager Risk & Controls role:
The Customer Communications Review (CCR) team supports the Group in meeting its requirements of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Enforceable Undertaking, including the development, implementation and embedment of the Further Implementation Plan.
The CCR team, Line 1 Risk segment is a unique team and is responsible for:
- Ensure appropriate governance, reporting and management of project risk as it relates to the ACMA Enforceable Undertaking Program.
- Provide oversight and coordinate application of the Operational Risk Management Framework across the Group through the Group Chief Controls Offices (CCOs), as it relates to customer communications and matters of the ACMA Enforceable Undertaking.
- Manage and coordinate the Independent Consultant review across the Group
- Provide Risk oversight and coordination of the development of the Further Implementation Plan
- Develop the risk and reporting framework to meet the requirements of the ACMA Enforceable Undertaking
Your Impact:
As a Risk and Controls Senior Manager Line 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery and closure of the ACMA Enforceable Undertaking and support the Group in achieving greater compliance with the Australian Spam Act to deliver communications more safely and efficiently to our customers.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a proactive risk culture through collaboration with business partners, Group CCOs and Line 2 teams, shaping the optimal approach to risk, change and risk governance matters.
- Management of Issues in RIS including updating RAG status, maintaining associated Actions (including ownership) and adjusting the due dates of Actions as required
- Coordination of Action closures, working in conjunction with CCR Program Governance team
- Working with BU/SUs who have associated to the Issue to monitor associations and be a point of contact for queries in relation to this
- Work with relevant BU/SU line 1 and line 2, and Legal teams to triage and work through any Spam related incidents identified and consider whether incidents are reportable under the terms of the EU
- Ensure Change Management Risk has been considered by BU/SU in line with the scope of the further implementation plan and monitor the KCAs/EAs raised and considering the completeness of these
- Oversee the design and implementation of controls (related to Spam Act compliance) to enable better risk and compliance outcomes. This includes proactively identify opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and controls through continuous improvements
- Aggregate reporting on Spam Act control environments across the Group to provide insights into the control environment
- Governance and reporting - coordination of project updates to BU/SU NFRCs and risk forums; including documenting and presenting updates to relevant NFRCs
- Governance and Reporting - Coordination of project updates to Compliance and CCO Leadership Team meetings and forums; including documenting and presenting updates as it relates to the project
- Support to the project to manage the risk associated with the project
We are interested in people who have:
- Risk and Compliance mindset: Advance knowledge and experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks; ability to analyse/identify risks and recommend appropriate actions; and knowledge of the regulatory environment.
- Risk Reporting and Governance: Sound to advance experience in Risk Reporting and Governance activities; drafting NFRC papers; developing risk reporting using RiskInSite.
- Effective stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships and manage a large group of stakeholders with conflicting priorities; ability to partner with the business to understand risk as an enabler for growth and success.
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and different levels of seniority.
- Existing Project Management and/or delivery experience desirable.
