The Revenue team is a highly visible, global team responsible for accurate and timely revenue reporting. The team manages the monthly and quarterly revenue close, supports contract review and accounting conclusions, evaluates revenue treatment for new and existing product offerings, maintains controls over revenue reporting, and supports revenue forecasting and analytics.

This role will lead the Revenue Operations team in Gurugram, India, with responsibility for managing and developing Revenue Managers and Revenue Analysts. The Senior Manager will be the primary point of leadership for the India Revenue Operations team and will be accountable for the quality and timely execution of the revenue processes owned by the team.

The role will partner closely with global Revenue leadership and cross-functional teams to manage close execution, resolve complex revenue and operational issues, strengthen processes and controls, and continue building the capabilities of the India team.

Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including experience in revenue accounting or revenue operations at a public, high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing Managers and individual contributors
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including experience with SaaS, cloud, and usage-based revenue models
  • Experience owning complex revenue close processes, including revenue recognition, journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue allocations, and related analytics
  • Experience reviewing customer contracts and evaluating non-standard terms and revenue accounting considerations
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting controls, SOX requirements, and external audit support
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess complex issues, determine appropriate next steps and escalation, and drive matters through resolution
  • Experience improving or scaling accounting processes through standardization, automation, documentation, or enhanced controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with large data sets and identify trends, exceptions, and underlying drivers
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems; NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, levels, and global time zones
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and sound judgment
Position Expectations
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Revenue Operations team in Gurugram, including Revenue Managers and Revenue Analysts, with accountability for team performance, development, workload allocation, and effective delegation
  • Own the monthly and quarterly revenue close activities within the India team's scope, including revenue analyses, journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, and related review activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  • Establish clear ownership, review, and escalation expectations across the team and ensure issues are identified and addressed on a timely basis
  • Review complex sales transactions within the Company's ERP and revenue systems to ensure the accuracy of underlying data, revenue allocations, and revenue schedules
  • Review contract analyses and provide guidance on revenue treatment for complex or non-standard arrangements under ASC 606 and the Company's accounting policies
  • Apply judgment to revenue accounting and operational issues, determine when escalation is required, and drive issues to resolution in partnership with global Revenue leadership and other stakeholders
  • Lead quarterly review and year-end audit activities for the revenue processes owned by the India team, including coordination of supporting documentation and resolution of auditor questions
  • Review revenue analytics and complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential financial reporting or operational risks and communicate findings to Revenue leadership
  • Partner with OTC, Legal, FP&A, Product, Cloud Engineering, FinTech, and other cross-functional teams on initiatives and issues with revenue accounting or operational implications
  • Partner with global Revenue leadership to align processes, controls, and operating practices across the broader Revenue organization
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and control environment of Revenue Operations through process improvement, automation, standardization, and documentation
  • Coach Revenue Managers and Analysts to strengthen technical knowledge, operational ownership, judgment, and issue escalation
  • Support new products, systems, and business initiatives by assessing revenue accounting and operational impacts and helping ensure appropriate processes and controls are established
  • Lead revenue-related projects and other initiatives requiring coordination across the India Revenue team and global business partners
Success Measures

First 30 Days

  • A successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the Company's business, product offerings, revenue streams, key systems, close processes, controls, and team responsibilities, while establishing relationships with the Gurugram team and key global stakeholders

3 to 6 Months

  • The Senior Manager will be independently overseeing the revenue close activities within the India team's scope, with clear ownership and escalation expectations established across Revenue Managers and Analysts. The individual will also have identified key opportunities to improve processes, controls, documentation, and team capability

6 to 9 Months

  • The Senior Manager will be operating as a trusted partner to Revenue leadership and key cross-functional teams, independently resolving routine operational matters and appropriately escalating complex or higher-risk issues. The role will also be driving targeted improvements in close execution, controls, automation, and process consistency

12 Months and Beyond

  • The Senior Manager will have established a strong, scalable Revenue Operations team in India, with clear accountability across Managers and Analysts, consistent execution of close and control responsibilities, and increased team capability to independently own complex revenue processes. The role will continue to drive improvements in efficiency, automation, controls, and operational scalability as the business evolves
