Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior QA Manager for our Data Virtualization product. This role involves overseeing a large QA team, which may consist of other managers, supervisors, and experienced or highly technical professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead QA Team: Manage QA teams, providing guidance, performance reviews, and career development.

Test Planning and Strategy Development: Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, encompassing both manual and automated testing. This includes but is not limited to defining, executing, and reviewing testing objectives, test plans, and test cases. Additionally, develop subject matter expertise in various product components and job functions to support effective test strategy, planning and execution.

Quality Assurance Processes: Define and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure software functionality, reliability, performance, and scalability.

Automation Framework: Establish and improve automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts. This also includes CI/CD integration across releases to ensure that software releases are of high quality and the test automation process is efficient, effective, and scalable.

Collaboration: Work closely with the development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and define testing priorities.

Defect Tracking and Resolution: Oversee the defect management process, ensuring that issues are properly documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.

Release Management: Coordinate and manage testing cycles, including regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, ensuring high-quality releases.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the software development lifecycle, including potential defects, scalability issues, and performance bottlenecks.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor, review, and improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on QA progress, testing status, and product quality to stakeholders and senior management.

Tool and Technology Management: Select and implement appropriate QA tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Required Experience/Skills

At least ten years of relevant experience in a managerial role within quality assurance or test engineering.

In-depth understanding of software development life cycle, testing methodologies, processes, and quality control.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across teams, adapt to different situations, and successfully achieve assigned goals and targets.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing automation test frameworks and scripts from scratch.
-
Practical experience in coding using at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, TestNG, JUnit, Ant, or Maven.

Strong experience in analyzing requirements, developing comprehensive test plans and test cases, and proficiently identifying and documenting software defects.

Hands-on experience in testing Soap and Rest web service APIs.

Experience working with databases, data processing, and analytical tools and familiarity with SQL language.

Strong aptitude for learning, excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in both Windows and Linux platforms.

Experience with Cloud Native platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Familiarity or experience with client tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Familiarity or experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab.

Familiarity or experience with Test Management tools such as TestLink and TestRail.

Familiarity or experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence Wiki.

Familiarity or experience with performance and stress testing, including the use of performance test tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
Education
A minimum of Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
