As a Senior Manager Project Management (Network Transformation), you will lead early-stage physical Network Transformation initiatives from idea intake through decision-quality business case, enabling leaders to make fast, confident investment decisions. You will be responsible for project ideation, data-driven analysis, and financial/business case development to evaluate network opportunities (i.e. logistics strategy, expansions, relocations, service enablement, capacity and cost-to-serve improvements) and advance approved opportunities through governance milestones. You will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Real Estate, Advanced Analytics, and delivery teams to define the problem and value hypothesis, build ROI/proforma/NPV-driven recommendations, and package work into clear “decision memos” and SteerCo-ready materials.
Important note: This role leads strategic, enterprise, and operational business initiatives with a focus on non-technical project work and is distinct from IT, software, systems implementation, or other technical project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive large-scale initiatives in both size and budget with high complexity with both financial and organizational risk.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Set and manage project expectations with team members and project stakeholders.
- Perform root cause analysis on gaps, identify waste, and partner with leadership to drive sustainable corrective action.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to align with strategy and objectives and to define project scope, goals and deliverables. Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations including executive level presentations, communications and reporting.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes.
- Assess and prioritize new demand intake.
- Recommend and standardize new project management processes and governance.
- Manage changes in project scope, identify potential concerns, and devise contingency plans.
- Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess the need for additional staff or consultants and make appropriate staffing adjustments during project cycle. Negotiate with other department managers for acquisition of required personnel.
- Develop employees to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement tools.
- Function as leader for continuous improvement events.
- Align activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Drive a strategic mindset to envision future and translate to tangible plans.
- Develop and enable process improvements and standards of excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or related degree required.
- PMP Certification preferred
- 10 years of experience in business and project management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods in a large-scale project management capacity.
- 5 years of proven management experience leading and developing a team of resources.
- Experience with project ideation and business case analysis preferred.
- Background in distribution, supply chain, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to build and lead strong business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze workflow and processes to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Strong understanding of project management techniques and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of business and IT processes.
- Ability to overcome difficult situations and conflicts.
- Ability to apply professional principles and business judgement to solve problems.
- Ability to influence outcomes and broad processes beyond individual function.
