The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to provide tactical and strategic leadership in underwriting, portfolio management, and technical expertise to drive sustainable underwriting profit through effective pricing and risk management.

Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week

The starting salary for this role is between $151,500.00 and $284,500.00
Your New Role
-
As part of the Professional Liability leadership team, contribute to innovation, development and communication of product to support growth in our E&O lines of business in line with profitability targets.

Develop and implement product strategies to drive profitability and growth. Responsible for appetite and guideline enhancements.

Drive achievement of business plans in the portfolio.

Manage thought leadership campaigns both externally and internally to assist QBE in elevating our brand and reputation around E&O expertise. Maintaining a particular cadence throughout the year with a focus on being visible in the market as a subject matter expert.

Develop and maintaining training for underwriters at all levels of experience in order to enhance underwriting acumen.

Develop training for brokers on product offerings as well as market trends and controls updates.

Encourage creative thinking for innovative solutions.

Refine and enhance processes by creating efficiency in the technical underwriting of risk.

Develop reporting mechanism to cascade trends and alerts to senior execs, claims and underwriting teams. Monitor and review internal reporting processes to meet requirements.

Monitor Market trends for areas of opportunity specifically miscellaneous professional liability and media.

Create risk management value add for our SME and Middle Market customers.

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders.

Deliver profitable growth across all product lines, working across lines to enhance our cross-sell opportunities.

Manage wording and policy changes in line with developing trends and/or where needed to satisfy regulatory and external stakeholder requirements in collaboration with business leaders. Provide technical direction and leadership to portfolio professionals.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Experience

Experience in a Product Manager/Portfolio Manager role.

Direct Underwriting Experience
-
Experience in a national underwriting/broker role

Leadership experience.
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
