Roblox is looking for a senior communications professional with experience in product communications.

As a member of the Global Communications and Corporate Affairs team, you will help craft strategy and narratives for everything including individual product launches, campaigns, and proactive storytelling. You should have a good understanding of the technical subject matters (ex. AI), consumer technology/social media, and user generated content (UGC) platforms. You are passionate about our mission, the community Roblox serves, and our technical innovation that we deliver to nearly 89 million daily active users. 

This position reports into the Head of Product Communications and is based in San Mateo, CA (hybrid structure with 3 days onsite per week).

You Will:

  • Advise and collaborate with various teams including product marketing and product to develop a comprehensive communications strategy.
  • Apply your deep understanding of the media landscape and media relationships to build relationships and strategic recommendations that help drive and support business objectives.
  • Draft press releases, blogs, FAQs, and key messages. Brief spokespeople and staff interviews. Identify and proactively present stories to highlight Roblox’s innovation.
  • Proactively brainstorm new story or campaign ideas.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, ideally including significant experience in a technology company telling product stories
  • Proven-track record developing and implementing corporate communications plans aligning internal external, and partner communications against business priorities
  • Ability to forge relationships across the business
  • Self motivation, willing to roll your sleeves up to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Positive relationships with key journalists and influencers in tech and business press
  • Confidence in front of key stakeholders and can think quickly on your toes
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • An appetite for creating news

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$215,450$249,410 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
