Job Description

Are you a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the IT landscape and a passion for cutting-edge technology? Nielsen is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing to act as a vital procurement business partner for our IT, Sales, and CX departments.

In this high-visibility role, you will lead large-scale sourcing events (RFx), spearhead the acquisition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies, and mentor a team of sourcing analysts. You will serve as a matrix leader for procurement resources across LATAM and Mexico, ensuring that our global strategy translates into regional excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Build trust-based relationships with executive leadership to understand business priorities and execute strategies that deliver measurable value.

  • Financial & Commercial Liaison: Provide critical financial insights on budgets and price variances to finance leaders, acting as the main conduit between business units and buying teams.

  • Strategic Value Driver: Engage early in the business strategy process to anticipate sourcing needs and stay ahead of external market trends to drive innovation.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports while promoting the use of digital procurement tools and modern best practices.

  • Regional Oversight: Serve as a matrix leader for LATAM and Mexico, continuously improving business processes and raising performance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop teams (direct and indirect) to achieve both procurement and organizational goals.

  • IT & AI Expertise: Experience leading large-scale IT sourcing events and a specific focus on emerging AI technologies.

  • Business Acumen: Superior ability to align procurement initiatives with functional goals to uncover untapped value.

  • Digital Dexterity: Ambition and agility to work in a digital-first environment and pursue technological opportunities to meet business objectives.

  • Communication & Diplomacy: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels, applying tact to resolve conflicts.

  • Project Management: Robust skills in implementing initiatives that require frequent communication, high organization, and strict time management.
