The Position
This position is responsible for implementing and driving adoption of digital procurement solutions and technologies to increase procurement workforce productivity and effectiveness, business stakeholder satisfaction and process agility. The role will manage process digitalization ensuring that procurement employees and stakeholders have the motivation and knowledge to fully leverage Procurement source-to-pay and point solution technologies. The role will work closely with internal partners, such as Corporate Procurement, Global Legal Operations, NNI DD&IT, Legal, Privacy, Safety and line of business (LOB) leaders, and manage external relationships with procurement technology solution providers.
Relationships
This position will report to the Senior Director, Procurement Operations, Digitalization and BI Lead, and will closely interact with Procurement Operations colleagues, Procurement Category leaders and managers, and counterparts in Corporate Procurement at HQ. The role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders in IT, Legal, Privacy, and LOB stakeholders who are directly or indirectly associated with Procurement's sourcing, contracting, and purchasing processes. Externally, the role will interact with Procurement technology solution providers.
Essential Functions
- Partner with Senior Director to develop NNI Procurement's digitalization vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Lead the implementation of Procurement digital enablement projects in partnership with DDI&T, Global Procurement and third parties
- Monitor emerging technology trends, scout for technology vendors, leverage Procurement analytics to identify opportunities and pitch ideas internally. Develop use cases for generative AI to elevate Procurement processes
- Effectively communicate user and stakeholder feedback to digital Procurement global product owners and governance functions. Connect with line-of-business leaders to ensure their input in driving process improvement
- Lead change management for technology adoption. Coordinate multichannel communication. Run enablement and awareness evets (Office Hours, lunch and learns, etc.). Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across stakeholders through regular engagement
- Lead source to pay technology release testing and feature implementation in partnership with Global Procurement
- Prioritize, implement and measure impact of continuous improvement (CI) opportunities in Procurement digital. Grow a CI mindset and culture in the Procurement Operations team
- Develop and monitor metrics that measure digital procurement enablement impact
- Create and maintain a central repository of Procurement technology enablement resources (videos, how-to, quick start guides, etc.)
- Manage relationships, supplier performance and invoice payment for technology vendors in collaboration with Global Procurement, as applicable
Physical Requirements
0-25% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Experience Design, or related required. Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital, system, or user experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Advanced degree can count towards experience. At least 3 years leading digital enablement or technology-driven process improvements
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, life science industry experience preferred.
- Procurement experience strongly preferred; experience in Coupa Source to Pay is a plus.
- Extensive experience in digital technology project implementation and management
- Demonstrated ability in change management
- High on learning ability and motivation with a change-ready mindset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to be a 'translator', explaining digital concepts to the business and business concepts to IT and technologists
- Demonstrated business acumen, creative problem solving, and data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders, build relationships, influence and gain respect
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organizational environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complete work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel
