At Boston Scientific, we’ll give you the opportunity to harness all that’s within you by working in teams of diverse and high-performing employees, tackling some of the most important health industry challenges. With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.

About the role:

Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.

Boston Scientific is seeking a Sr. Manager, Privacy and Digital Governance to shape the future of our global digital ecosystem. Sitting within the Corporate Integrated Digital Marketing organization, you’ll build and lead our enterprise digital governance and privacy program, enabling scalable, customer-centric, and compliant digital experiences across one of the world's leading medical device companies. As the corporate steward and strategic partner to divisional marketing teams, you will establish the standards, decision frameworks, and operating model that guide the lifecycle of our digital experiences - from intake and planning through launch, optimization, sustainment, and retirement. You'll ensure digital experiences are consistent, privacy-first, compliant, and aligned with Boston Scientific's brand and customer experience principles while driving adoption across our global digital portfolio.

Guided by a privacy-first approach to digital marketing, you'll partner closely with Privacy, Legal, Technology, and Marketing to monitor emerging regulations, industry trends, competitive practices, and evolving technologies - translating those insights into scalable governance strategies, pilots, testing approaches, and operating models that strengthen customer trust, protect the Boston Scientific brand, and enable responsible first-party data collection and activation, positioning the organization to thrive in an increasingly privacy-first digital landscape.

The successful candidate is a strategic thinker with a builder's mindset who thrives in creating new capabilities, communicating through change, and driving adoption across a complex, matrixed organization. They bring a unique blend of expertise in digital governance, web operations, privacy, process design, and marketing technology. They are passionate about inspiring teams across the organization to consider privacy and web best practices from the earliest stages of planning and design, recognizing that customer trust is fundamental to driving stronger customer engagement and higher quality conversion.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, Maple Grove, Minnesota or Marlborough, Massachusetts office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and continuous evolution of BSC’s enterprise web governance standards, policies, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, accessibility, and optimal user experience across digital properties.
  • Own the global digital privacy strategy for Marketing, translating evolving privacy regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies into scalable governance practices, consent strategies, and business recommendations that strengthen customer trust while enabling responsible first-party data collection, activation, and audience growth to support personalized, measurable digital marketing.
  • Own the enterprise decision framework and intake process for new websites and digital experiences, providing governance and recommendations for site creation, consolidation, migration, optimization, and retirement.
  • Partner with global and regional digital leaders to establish a hub-and-spoke governance model that balances enterprise standards with local business needs, ensuring consistent implementation across global markets.
  • Drive adoption of digital health standards through training, communications and stakeholder engagement (e.g., employee intranet, global marketing forums, governance councils) to foster a culture of privacy-first digital marketing across the organization.
  • Serve as the corporate subject matter expert on digital marketing privacy, advising Marketing teams on consent strategies, online tracking technologies, first-party data activation, and privacy-by-design principles that balance customer trust with marketing effectiveness.
  • Conduct recurring website audits and scorecard assessments to evaluate the health, consistency, quality and effectiveness of our digital properties and overall platform health, delivering actionable recommendations and continuous improvement plans for our Marketing teams.
  • Partner with Production, UX, Content Strategy, DX, and IT to improve content lifecycle management, including governance workflows, content archiving policies and publishing processes.
  • Lead the operational management of web privacy and consent, partnering with Privacy, Legal, IT, Analytics, Marketing, and OneTrust to ensure evolving privacy requirements are consistently implemented across patient- and healthcare professional-facing digital experiences.
  • Leverage AI and digital optimization tools to streamline governance reviews, automate audits, accelerate analysis, and improve measurement and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop executive dashboards and quarterly reporting that provide visibility into digital ecosystem health, governance adoption, compliance, and opportunities to optimize, consolidate, or retire digital properties.
  • Monitor emerging privacy regulations, browser technologies, AI capabilities, and digital marketing trends, proactively assessing their impact and recommending pilots, experimentation, and roadmap enhancements that prepare Boston Scientific for the future of privacy-first marketing.
  • Lead cross-functional communications and executive presentations related to governance initiatives, privacy updates, platform changes, and strategic recommendations, ensuring stakeholders understand impacts, priorities, and implementation plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, Digital Experience, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, web strategy, digital governance, digital operations, marketing technology, digital experience management, or related disciplines.

  • Proven experience developing or managing enterprise standards, governance frameworks, operating models, or business processes for a portfolio of digital experiences at a large, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, Technology, Legal, Privacy, and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting recommendations and executive-level updates to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or enterprise content management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other evolving privacy requirements.
  • Experience with web analytics, SEO, accessibility standards, and digital quality tools (e.g., Siteimprove, SEMrush, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, ObservePoint).
