Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in pricing strategy, discount management, competitive pricing analysis, and profitability optimization.
- Experience with B2B, distribution, or eCommerce pricing models, preferably in an industrial or wholesale distribution environment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Develops and executes pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
- Owns competitive intelligence, using data and insights to inform pricing strategies and business decisions.
- Oversees list price management, ensuring strategic alignment with cost fluctuations, competitive positioning, and margin goals.
- Leads category discount management, balancing margin optimization and sales growth by leveraging data-driven insights.
- Analyzes customer profitability to refine pricing structures and drive strategic opportunities.
- Strengthens merchant partnerships by collaborating with vendors and suppliers to enhance competitive positioning.
- Utilizes advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to assess pricing performance and identifies opportunities for optimization.
- Partners with Merchandising, Finance, and Sales to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.

- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
- Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionabl
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
