Success here requires flexibility in a fast-paced environment, a client-first mindset, and a commitment to delivering consistent, reliable results as part of a performance-driven, values-led team. With team members around the world, Candescent is an equal opportunity employer.

The Senior Pricing Strategy Manager will architect and operationalize the pricing frameworks that power Candescent’s platform growth. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, finance, and go-to-market execution—turning market intelligence and customer insight into scalable pricing models.

You will design and test outcome-based pricing structures, define segmentation and willingness-to-pay strategies, and establish the operational underpinnings for metering, billing, and renewals. Your work will inform how we position value across our fintech ecosystem—bridging product, data, and GTM to drive sustainable growth and platform adoption.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations to bring structure and clarity to how we monetize innovation—balancing profitability, scalability, and customer success.

Primary Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Framework Development

  • Define and evolve Candescent’s enterprise pricing framework across SaaS, usage-based, and hybrid models.

  • Segment financial institutions (Tier 1–3) by size, value sensitivity, and willingness to pay; translate findings into differentiated pricing strategies.

  • Develop value-based narratives and total cost of ownership (TCO) positioning against incumbents and emerging fintech competitors.

  • Align pricing objectives with strategic goals (growth, profitability, adoption, and channel leverage).

  • Partner with Product and GTM to model monetization of AI, analytics, and API-based products.

Pricing Structure & Modeling

  • Design modular, scalable pricing architectures that blend platform, usage, and value-based elements.

  • Build detailed pricing models, discount bands, and escalation frameworks across product tiers.

  • Incorporate additive levers (implementation fees, minimums, growth pricing, revenue share) into monetization plans.

  • Partner with Product Operations and Finance to connect pricing structures to billing, metering, and renewal systems.

Competitive & Market Insights

  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking of pricing models across the fintech ecosystem.

  • Develop and maintain pricing intelligence dashboards that track elasticity, adoption, and market shifts.

  • Collaborate with Research, Product, and GTM to test pricing hypotheses through customer pilots and experimentation.

Governance & Operational Excellence

  • Support pricing catalogue governance and version control processes in coordination with the Product Catalogue team.

  • Ensure auditability, transparency, and traceability across pricing decisions, updates, and commercial policies.

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure pricing compliance and contract readiness across offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent

  • 7+ years of experience in pricing strategy, monetization, or product strategy roles within fintech, SaaS, or technology sectors.

  • Proven success designing and implementing scalable pricing architectures (subscription, usage-based, hybrid).

  • Deep understanding of pricing analytics, elasticity modeling, and segmentation frameworks.

  • Experience operationalizing pricing within billing, metering, and CRM systems (Zuora, Salesforce, CPQ preferred).

  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to model financial impact and communicate tradeoffs to senior leadership.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills—able to align Product, Finance, GTM, and Engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or quantitative advanced degree preferred.
