At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Team

Behind the storytellers of our TV shows, films, games and live experiences are the storytellers of Netflix the company - our Communications team. They are responsible for promoting and protecting our reputation for excellence and building awareness and appreciation for Netflix’s mission across everything we do, from our products, partnerships, and policy issues to our culture, executive voices, and stakeholder engagement.

Netflix is seeking an experienced communications leader to join its newly created and growing U.S. Policy Communications team. This is a unique opportunity to help build the U.S. Policy Comms function from the ground up.

As part of this team, you will assist in media relations and communications campaigns that strategically support our public policy and regulatory objectives across the U.S., with the goal of creating an environment for the company’s continued growth and success. You will work cross-functionally with leaders across Netflix as well as external stakeholders to help shape the environment for our Global Affairs team’s federal and state policy goals to succeed. While the large majority of this work will focus on the U.S., you will also be a key stakeholder in global policy communications strategy and campaigns.

Internally, you will serve as a trusted advisor and bridge between various cross-functional teams. You will work in seamless alignment with the Global Affairs team to drive Netflix’s policy goals, while also partnering with the External Affairs, Legal, Marketing, and business leaders within Content and Product.

This Senior Manager role will be based in Washington, D.C., and will report to Netflix’s Senior Director, Head of U.S. Policy Communications & External Affairs.

Partner with cross-functional leaders across the company to ensure Netflix’s mission and business are well-understood and well-perceived.

  • Spokesperson: Serve as a trusted source to speak on behalf of Netflix on any issues relating to public policy and regulatory, ensuring that Netflix’s mission and story are told effectively and in a way that is advantageous to the company’s continued growth.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in media, corporate, political, government or agency communications.

  • Expertise in distilling complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives in the public policy and regulatory sphere.
