As the Senior Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for overseeing larger, more complex projects and programs, driving strategic initiatives across the organization, and managing a team of project managers. The Senior Manager, PMO is also responsible for optimizing project management processes, aligning projects with business goals, and ensuring high-level governance and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.
- Establish and maintain project management processes, methodologies, and standards, ensuring consistency and best practices across all projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with organizational strategy and priorities.
- Drive the development of the PMO’s long-term strategy, aligning it with the organization’s objectives and vision.
- Oversee the project portfolio to ensure that projects are prioritized, executed, and delivered according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Regularly report on the status of key projects to executive leadership, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Conduct project audits and assessments to ensure adherence to project management methodologies and organizational standards.
- Continuously assess and improve project management processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement standardized project management tools, templates, and frameworks to ensure consistency and improve project outcomes.
- Monitor and report on resource utilization, identifying potential gaps or inefficiencies.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
- Proven experience managing and delivering large-scale, complex projects across various domains.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Eight (8)+ years of experience in project management
- Four (4)+ years in a leadership or managerial role within a PMO.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
