Senior Manager, People Business Partner
We are hiring for a Senior Manager People Business Partner who will be Reporting into the Director, People Business Partner in India, the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders within and out with India, translating business strategy into people priorities and provide commercially grounded people-related counsel, balancing people considerations with business impact.
Responsibilities:
Partner with global People Business Partners and CoEs to ensure consistency and alignment of processes, frameworks and governance eg. Performance management framework, compensation process, promotion governance.
Drive consistent execution of global HR cycles while incorporating local dynamics. Act as a key interface between local market realities and global people strategies.
Provide hands-on coaching to leaders and stakeholders on people-related matters, including: pay-for performance philosophy, promotion governance, consistency of decision-making, effective people management practices such as performance, feedback, development.
Guide stakeholders to make fair and commercially-aligned people decisions; build leadership capability to manage teams effectively, driving accountability and high performance culture.
Lead end‑to‑end performance management processes (goal setting, mid‑year reviews, year‑end evaluations, calibration, and outcomes) ensuring fairness, rigor, and business impact.
Assists in providing training and development programs related to Human Capital programs such as the Performance Management Program.
Support of Human Capital Initiatives including retention strategies and mentoring.
Mitigate people-related risks to the business and provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws and company policies.
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Oversee seamless delivery of the entire employee lifecycle including onboarding, internal mobility, transitions, and exits.
Ensure high-quality employee experience through consistent processes, clear communication, and responsive People support.
Provides partnership to the business unit to identify strategies to increase employee engagement through effective communication, policies, and practices.
Identify processes to automate or transition to operations vendors and work with counterparts to follow through.
Lead or participate in various Human Capital projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
At least 10 + years progressive HR experience including HR business partnering in a multinational matrixed organization. Experience in professional services industry is advantageous.
Master’s degree or equivalent, human resources/human capital or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of business drivers and financial outcomes.
Proven ability to coach senior stakeholders on people decisions and leadership effectiveness.
Strong problem-solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident self-starter who can deal effectively with all levels of the organization and speak out to challenge status quo.
Ability to balance global consistency with local market execution.
Ability to use data and insights to guide decisions and measure impact.
Good understanding of Indian Labor Laws and proven ability to handle complex ER matters.
Ability to work in a confidential environment is essential.
Ability to influence without authority.
Possess good judgement and understand when to escalate matters as necessary.
Excellent organization skills and time management skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum direction.
Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.
