Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Payer Negotiation Strategy and Market Intelligence, builds and maintains the payer-specific playbook set covering CVS Pharmacy’s largest payer relationships, establishes the pre-positioning frameworks applied ahead of material negotiations, facilitates structured deal reviews and debriefs, and drives adoption of approved negotiation preparation tooling across the function. It converts each negotiation into transferable institutional knowledge.
This person will strengthen negotiation effectiveness by translating market intelligence, stakeholder insight, and negotiation learnings into clear, repeatable strategy. The role is an individual contributor with regular working exposure to Directors, Lead Directors and above, and is structured as a development seat toward deal ownership within Payer Relations.
Success is measured by whether negotiation quality becomes repeatable, documented, and materially less dependent on any single individual.
