The Senior Manager, Market Access will lead negotiations with key stakeholders, including government officials, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, to secure favorable pricing and reimbursement conditions. The role conducts market research and analysis to understand the local healthcare landscape and regulatory environment. The position involves monitoring changes in healthcare policies and regulations and anticipating their impact on the business.

The holder ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and the company's standard operating procedures (SOP) as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies for new and existing products in a pharmaceutical company specializing in rare diseases.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in access and reimbursement and implement market access strategies that optimize the positioning of the company's specialized products in the categories of Neurology, Endocrinology, and Pediatric Neurology.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Develop and present value propositions and economic models to support product positioning and reimbursement discussions.
  • Participate in negotiations with payers and provide support for pricing and reimbursement submissions. • Work with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams to develop and communicate evidence of clinical and economic value.
  • Support the development of health economic models, budget impact analyses, and other tools to demonstrate the product's value.
  • Ensure the generation of real-world evidence to support market access initiatives.
  • Communicate the company's value proposition for rare disease products to a wide range of stakeholders, emphasizing health economics and outcomes research data.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to market access and reimbursement.
  • Prepare and present the necessary documentation for pricing and reimbursement approvals.
  • Monitor changes in healthcare policies and regulations that may affect market access.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on topics related to market access.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials and communication strategies.
  • Analyze market data and trends to inform market access strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of market access initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be based in Bogotá, Colombia
  • Professional in health sciences, health economics, business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) is preferred.
  • Experience in market access, health economics, pricing, reimbursement, or a related field in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience with high-cost products is required.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, payer landscape, and reimbursement processes.
  • Rare disease/rphan drug experience would be a plus.
  • Intermediate English level (oral and written)
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a strong presence in the health economics and payer communities.
  • Deep knowledge of health economics and outcomes research methodologies and best practices.
  • Proactive, motivated individual with excellent communication and presentation skills.
