- Act as a trusted legal advisor to the stakeholders, flagging legal risk early and offering pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including shipper and carrier agreements, SaaS and technology contracts, NDAs, and partnership arrangements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract risk, liability exposure, and commercial terms across the shipper, carrier, and platform product lines.
- Own and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks, ensuring alignment with applicable European jurisdictions.
- Support the sales and operations teams in structuring complex cooperation and transport framework agreements and resolving contractual disputes efficiently.
- Contribute to corporate transactions such as acquisitions (M&A), cross-border joint venture projects, due diligence processes, and post-acquisition integration work, drawing on experience with recent acquisitions.
- Monitor regulatory developments in road freight, marketplace regulation, and platform economy law across key European markets.
- Qualified lawyer with a German law degree (Volljurist / Assessor) or equivalent qualification from an EU jurisdiction; additional common law qualification is a plus.
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining in-house experience with a reputable law firm background.
- Strong track record in commercial contracting and commercial law, preferably with experience in logistics, marketplace, tech, or platform businesses. Experience in handling cross-jurisdictional matters is strongly recommended to succeed in this role.
- Solid understanding of, or willingness to dive deeper into, EU regulatory frameworks relevant to logistics and digital platforms.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate legal complexity into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong drafting skills in both German and English — fluency in both languages is required.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to risk.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to build — not just advise.
