Position Description:
Designs and develops Cloud computing environments and applications -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake. Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers and developers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Develops and oversees software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Partners with internal collaborators to deliver innovative, end-to-end technical and data solutions that align with the evolving external regulatory landscape. Collaborates with business and brokerage technology teams to report across multiple assets classes with high levels of regulatory scrutiny. Provides a broad range of regulatory reporting application support to the broader regulatory reporting group and various internal team members. Collaborates with operations, data, and external support teams to identify specific use cases relating to application gaps and required enhancements, and to prioritize work based on level of criticality.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implements centralized data acquisition processes and distribution capabilities within the business unit.
- Drives the roadmap to support various product areas and platform.
- Defines product vision and ensures alignment with business objectives.
- Upholds reporting requirements by liaising with other product teams within the enterprise on system dependencies that impact the regulatory reporting roadmap.
- Acts as key change agent by identifying and actioning opportunities for system automation and increased efficiency, via streamlined data and system workflows.
- Prioritizes tasks based on business needs and development timelines.
- Works with the team to design and implement technical strategies that align with business goals.
- Implements processes for continuous improvement, leveraging feedback from both the development team and business operations.
- Identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies to minimize impact on regulatory reporting.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) facilitating Agile events, values, practices, and processes, and implementing continuous improvements to team deliverables in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) facilitating Agile events, values, practices, and processes, and implementing continuous improvements to team deliverables in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) in a financial services environment -- leading events, quarterly and sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives; and tracking the execution of features and capabilities using standard Scaled Agile measurements (Agile and Scrum), including cycle time, throughput, lead time, and predictability metrics.
- DE providing production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis; performing quality assurance database testing on Oracle and Relational Database Management System (RDBMS); and running complex queries for data mining and validation for financial calculations and analysis in a financial services environment, using SQL Developer and Putty.
- DE guiding multi-functional delivery teams to develop strategic solutions for data, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and batch cycle enhancements to advance Investment Management business objectives, using Oracle PL/SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
- DE evaluating security and quality control design for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, using Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, IBM UrbanCode Deploy, or Mend; and identifying security gaps in account administration and branch configuration, using Active Directory, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), oAuth, and CyberArk.
