Summary/Objective

The Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure provides both strategic direction and hands-on leadership for the organization’s IT Infrastructure. This role is accountable for delivering secure, highly available, and scalable infrastructure across networking, firewalls, servers, storage, database platforms, telecommunications, and hybrid/cloud environments. It is a deeply technical management position requiring a broad and comprehensive background in IT infrastructure.

Essential Functions

• Infrastructure Strategy: Define and execute roadmap for on-prem and hybrid environments (including Azure cloud).
• Network & Firewall: Oversee enterprise networking, firewall configuration, and secure connectivity.
• Servers & Storage: Manage physical and virtual servers, storage systems, clustering, and high availability architecture.
• Database Administration: Ensure performance, security, and backup of enterprise databases; coordinate with DBAs for optimization.
• Telecommunications: Maintain voice and data communication systems, including integration with collaboration platforms.
• Advance Infrastructure Capabilities: Move beyond routine upkeep toward a resilient, automated, and cloud-ready platform aligned with organizational goals.
• Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code: Implement automation for patching/configuration and drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code practices across environments.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement Zero Trust architecture, vulnerability management, and ensure compliance with NIST.
• Operations & Monitoring: Oversee performance, availability, and observability using modern monitoring tools.
• Disaster Recovery & Resilience: Maintain DR and business continuity plans; ensure SLA compliance.
• SCCM/InTune Management: Oversee Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/InTune) for patching, software deployment, and compliance reporting across enterprise systems.
• IT Change Management Ownership: Own and enforce IT change management processes, ensuring proper documentation, risk assessment, and approval workflows for all IT changes.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and optimize infrastructure costs.
• Build and Inspire a High-Performing Team: Recruit, develop, and motivate top talent; foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and develop team members; drive alignment with InfoSec, PMO, and engineering for shared objectives.
• Policy & Governance: Maintain IT policies, change management, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in IT infrastructure roles; 4–6 years in leadership.
• Proven experience in cloud migration, hybrid architecture, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and security frameworks.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Core Infrastructure: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory & Azure AD Connect, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere/vCenter.
• Endpoint & Patch Management: SCCM/InTune.
• Networking & Security: Cisco Catalyst switches, routers, firewalls; Zero Trust principles.
• Database: Microsoft SQL Server.
• Cloud Platforms: Azure.

Preferred Certifications

• Azure Administrator/Architect (AZ-104, AZ-305)

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cisco CCNP
• ITIL v4 Foundation
• CISSP or CISM
