We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Investment Diligence & Accounting to join the M&A Finance team. In this role, you will lead financial diligence and ongoing portfolio accounting/controls for investments, partnering closely with NVentures, Corporate Development, Legal, and Tax. You will translate complex deal structures and company financials into clear, decision-ready insights and ensure disciplined, SOX-compliant governance across investment accounting, valuation inputs, impairment assessments, and reporting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead financial diligence for proposed venture investments, including analysis of historical performance, unit economics, cash runway, forecasting, working capital, and key financial/operational metrics
Identify, quantify, and communicate key financial risks and deal sensitivities; establish and implement an impairment and monitoring framework, including trigger identification and supporting analysis
Develop clear, decision-ready materials for partners (e.g., investment committee-style summaries, red-flag memos, and post-close monitoring updates) and influence outcomes through concise executive communication
Own accounting for venture investments, including application of ASC 321 (measurement alternative and fair value considerations) and ASC 323 (equity method indicators), documentation of conclusions, and coordination with internal/external reviewers
Design, implement, and operate SOX-compliant controls over investment accounting processes, including data intake, review/approval workflows, valuation inputs, impairment assessments, and reporting support
Prepare and present periodic portfolio reporting (e.g., quarterly close support, auditor-ready analysis, and internal dashboards) and continuously improve data quality and tooling (IHS or similar portfolio/reporting systems)
What We Need To See:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience); Active CPA required
10+ years of total experience with 7+ years of experience in venture capital accounting, transaction/financial diligence, corporate venture, audit/assurance with investment focus, and/or related roles
2+ years of leadership experience
Demonstrated leadership in ambiguous environments (people management experience a plus; strong cross-functional influencing skills required)
Advanced analytical skills, including strong Excel-based modeling and the ability to synthesize complex financials into streamlined insights and recommendations
Excellent executive communication skills (writing and presenting), with the ability to drive alignment across senior partners
Strong technical accounting foundation for venture investments, including ASC 321 (measurement alternative) and ASC 323 (equity method indicators), and comfort supporting valuation/impairment analyses and related documentation
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
Familiarity with portfolio reporting systems (IHS or similar) and Level 3 valuation methodologies, including backsolve/option-pricing models and calibration of assumptions
Experience in corporate venture capital and complex deal/capital structures (preferred equity terms, SAFEs/convertible notes), including partnering with external valuation specialists and auditors
Demonstrated ability to operate at deal speed—highly responsive to investment teams and able to drive execution so diligence and review timelines are consistently met

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
