Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for managing the team that collaborates with marketing strategy and cross-functional partners to design and execute tactical media plans, designed to generate profitable revenue and qualified leads for product categories and/or segments with a focus on reaching long and short-term business objectives. The role requires in-depth understanding of target markets, product, media approaches, and marketplace dynamics. This position is responsible for managing, leading, and developing the team of marketing professionals to ensure successful project execution of the Media strategy. The role participates in the development of processes to leverage Media, content management and Media management systems to meet media objectives and optimize acquisition and retention strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing individual contributors including actively developing strengths/opportunities, identifying blockers, and recommending career pathing opportunities (talent).
  • Lead the team in translating strategic and financial objectives into tactical media plans for a cross-functional team including media, enterprise brand, and digital team members.
  • Prioritize work; utilizing leader and marketing strategy team to provide direction.
  • With VP and cross-functional counterparts, align the media testing strategies, paying particular attention to audience-oriented testing and scalability of wins.
  • Collaborate with VP, analytics, actuary, and other media team leaders to conceptualize and implement consumer-centric, measurable, multi-channel integrated campaigns.
  • Lead media team annual planning processes.
  • Working with cross-functional partners, manage media team reporting processes. Ensure team understands implication of work on company successes.
  • Maintain product category/campaign budgets and collaborate on vendor contracts as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a people leader.
  • 8+ years of media management. Must have combination of traditional and digital channels.
  • Must have experience with both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable building hypothesis and drive measurable media tests.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Learning stance.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability at building new processes/procedures that are collaborative and extendable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B2B or DTC combo preferred.
  • Media experience: direct mail, email, social, digital.
