- Strategic Roadmapping: Set the multi-year vision for delivery management across a large portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise-level business goals and technical roadmaps.
- Portfolio Governance: Oversee high-impact, complex program portfolios, ensuring consistent delivery quality, financial accountability, and risk mitigation across all workstreams.
- Organizational Partnership: Act as a key strategic partner to VPs and Senior Directors in Engineering, Product, and Business units to resolve systemic bottlenecks and drive organizational efficiency.

- Operational Efficiency: Responsible for continuously improving the overall speed, velocity, and throughput of delivery and output across the entire portfolio.

Job Summary
Manages multiple teams of associates and managers that develop, implement, and/or support technology solutions for several business functions. Works with leadership to ensure the operational stability of technology systems and that technology solutions meet the needs of the company.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Manages technology development and support activities to ensure technology issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with governance and security processes.
- Oversees the progress of multiple technology efforts, including administration, work plans, resource planning and control, status reports, and budgeting.
- Resolves complex problems by analyzing issues, recommending corrective actions, providing tactical direction, and reallocating associate resources where needed.
- Communicates activity statuses with technology teams, peers, senior management, and end-users.
- Provides management, coaching, and feedback to associates and managers, including assessing performance and providing strategic guidance and direction on work-related activities.
- Reviews operational processes and recommends changes when needed.
- Works with leadership to align technology resources to appropriate projects and workstreams.
- Partners with senior management to develop and recommend short- and long-term technology improvements and initiatives for the organization.
Nature and Scope
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
- Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
