Senior Manager of Information Technology
- Salary Range: $132,000 - $165,000 per year, based on relevant years of experience
- Location: Fort Collins, CO
- Status: Full time, 40 hours per week (Hybrid)

Role Overview:
Responsible for leading the organization's IT infrastructure and operations function by ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of technology services across all locations. This role oversees service desk operations, end-user support, infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, identity and access management, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and clinical technology environments. The position is accountable for maintaining high service levels, supporting regulatory and HIPAA compliance requirements, managing technology vendors and budgets, and ensuring technology solutions effectively support business and clinical operations. Additionally, this role provides leadership and development for the IT Operations team, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners with organizational leaders to plan, implement, and support technology strategies that enhance operational performance, scalability, and security.
Essential Duties:
- Lead IT Service Delivery and Support Operations: Direct service desk operations, including ticket intake, triage, escalation management, service level performance, and after-hours support to ensure timely resolution of technology issues, particularly those impacting clinical operations.
- Manage End-User Technology and Workforce Enablement: Establish and maintain hardware standards for workstations, clinical carts, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals, and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure appropriate access and technology provisioning.
- Oversee Enterprise Infrastructure Operations: Manage server, storage, virtualization, and backup environments to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise technology systems.
- Lead Network and Connectivity Services: Direct the administration of LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and remote access services, including carrier relationships, circuit management, and network performance across all locations.
- Support Clinical Technology and Medical Device Connectivity: Ensure technology infrastructure effectively supports clinical workflows, including wireless coverage requirements, workstation mobility, barcode scanning, voice solutions, and secure medical device network segmentation.
- Manage Cloud Platforms and Identity Services: Oversee cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, tenant administration, identity management, single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), and role-based access controls.
- Drive Security Operations and Regulatory Compliance: Administer technical security controls supporting HIPAA and organizational security requirements, including access management, audit logging, encryption, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and patching programs.
- Lead Incident, Problem, and Security Response Management: Establish and maintain incident and problem management processes, coordinate responses to operational and security incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Readiness: Develop, document, test, and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring established recovery objectives and validated restoration procedures.
- Direct Technology Projects and Site Expansion Activities: Lead the technology planning and execution of new site openings, relocations, closures, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations, including build standards, cabling, cutover planning, and go-live support.
- Provide Leadership and Development for IT Operations Teams: Hire, develop, coach, and retain technical staff; establish clear ownership of systems and services; promote cross-training and documentation; manage on-call coverage; and drive employee performance and development.
- Manage IT Governance, Vendors, Assets, and Financial Performance: Oversee technology vendors, service providers, contracts, asset lifecycle management, operating and capital budgets, architecture documentation, technology evaluations, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in information technology with progressive responsibility, including 10+ years directly managing technical staff
- Experience with ownership of help desk operations, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and operations security in a production environment
- Experience supporting a multi-site organization with distributed users and site level infrastructure
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and operating budget
- Track record of measurable improvement in service levels, uptime, or incident volume
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare delivery, including support of an enterprise EHR such as Epic, Oracle Health, Meditech, or athenahealth
- Experience with clinical device connectivity, PACS, interface engines, or HL7 based integrations
- Prior participation in HITRUST, SOC 2, or comparable assessment work
- Experience standing up new clinical sites or supporting acquisition integration
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, or vendor certifications on cloud and networking
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
