Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team. This individual will report to the US Director, Human Resources and manage a team of 3-4 HR professionals. The Senior Manager will formulate partnerships across the firm to deliver value added services to management and employees that reflect the core business principles of the firm while maintaining the business objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy with a focus on continued improvement
- Develop and administer programs, policies, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the firm
- Manage complex employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations and offer recommendations for disciplinary action, performance improvement plans, and terminations
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g. coaching, counseling, etc.)
- Remain current on related subject matter and advocate for appropriate changes to policies and procedures
- Lead the planning and implementation of a variety of human resources projects of broad scope
- Support people managers in the areas of: performance management, compensation, and succession plans
- In partnership with HR team, oversee business services mentorship program
- Maintain strong knowledge of internal policies and procedures as well as plan compliance and reporting requirements
- Monitor trends, participate in area and industry surveys, analyze survey results, and make recommendations to management
- Remain current on HR related and legal industry subject matter and advocate for appropriate changes to policies and procedures
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal & external customers, and vendors
- Provide leadership and overall development of HR Generalist and Senior Coordinator
- Special projects, as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of seven years of related and progressively more responsible and broad-based Human Resources experience with a minimum of three years of leadership and management experience
- Experience in a professional services environment, ideally a large law firm
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of HR, including technology applications, HR regulations & compliance
- Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making; demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels in the business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of management team
- Strong business acumen, superior problem-solving and relationship building skills
- Adaptable and flexible leadership style
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral
- Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize multiple assignments and to meet set deadlines; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with all levels of management, lawyers and employees
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Integrity and good judgment when handling confidential information
