To drive grants Service effectiveness and performance through exceptional operational leadership, process improvement and people management, to achieve the company’s vision and growth.
Own strategic responsibility for key Service provisions, leading the development of quality and efficiency improvements.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Oversee Service resource management, aligning resource planning with commercial activity ensuring balance between demand and delivery.
  • Identify gaps in capability and work with relevant stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Line management of Managers Grants (if relevant), encouraging collaboration and knowledge transfer across the teams.
  • Develop, own and implement recruitment/talent plans for Service responsibility; act as an ambassador for the company to recruit exceptional talent and continue to foster a strong company culture reflective of the Granted Company Values.
  • Act as a role model and coach. Provide expertise, guidance, support and regular feedback to others to improve individual and team performance.
  • Develop, collaborate and oversee the training of the team in the owned Service(s), including upskilling on new products and processes.
  • Encourage employee idea generation and enable an effective feedback forum.

Client:

  • Act as the overall escalation point for projects in relation to owned Service (delivery and client relationship).
  • Support the allocation of client relationship management responsibilities within the delivery team. Mediate and solve complex client challenges.
  • Help nurture strategic clients/stakeholders. Work with the sales and Grants team to support the development of existing accounts, identifying on-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Attend client, industry and Partner events and play an active role in networking and brand building.

Value:

  • Demonstrate market awareness to drive strategic change, identified as an opportunity or threat
  • Own key Service KPIs, report on progress and develop and implement strategies to positively impact
  • Analyze Service performance measures to identify where to focus efforts and to drive optimum commercial outcomes, including the collaborative development of new product offerings
  • Own operational effectiveness across the Service
  • Optimize Service profitability; responsible for driving strategic planning and reporting
  • Own, develop and implement new processes and improve existing processes across owned Service provisions as well as supporting process improvement across the wider business, collaborating with colleagues where required to ensure processes are fit for purpose. Undertake end-to-end project management to deliver and implement process improvement.
  • Work with the Business Development team to align delivery capability and sales efforts

Education and Experience:

Proven consultancy experience. Strategic thinking and strong communication skills. Must be able to provide excellent critical thinking skills, and show an ability to summarize complex information in a simple and clear way.

Computer Skills: Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Document Suits.

Certificates and Licenses: None.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None mandatory, but may be required to act as the supervisor for key individuals within the Grants delivery team. Responsible for leadership within the Grants delivery team.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at desk.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 5-10%
