Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex Government Contracting engagements for multiple clients, delivering expert strategic advisory services.
- Serve as a primary advisor to C-level executives, ensuring clients navigate the full Government Contracting lifecycle effectively.
- Advise clients on FAR, DFARS (including DFARS 252.242-7005), CAS, and GSA Schedules while ensuring full compliance with DCAA/DCMA requirements, Business Systems adequacy (Purchasing, Estimating, Government Property, and Material Management), risk mitigation, and strong internal controls.
- Provide expert Joint Venture advisory services, guiding contractors in the formation, structuring, and compliance of Joint Ventures and Mentor-Protégé Agreements under SBA and federal regulations, ensuring they maximize opportunities and maintain compliance.
- Engage in thought leadership, positioning Aprio as the top firm in the Government Contracting community through speaking engagements, industry networking, and published insights.
- Deliver high-impact presentations, training, and webinars on compliance, business systems, and federal procurement best practices.
- Develop high-quality content, including articles, white papers, and industry insights, to educate and influence the contracting community.
- Support and lead engagements related to GSA Office of Inspector General (OIG) audits, mandatory disclosures, internal compliance reviews, and labor compliance.
- Assist clients in developing compliance programs to effectively manage government contract obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train junior team members, building industry expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Manage multiple projects with agility, efficiency, and precision, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Government Contracting advisory or direct experience working for a federal contractor (both large and small businesses preferred).
- Deep expertise in Government Contracting regulations, including DFARS, FAR, CAS, and SBA regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Business Systems compliance, including Purchasing, Estimating, Government Property, and Material Management per DFARS.
- Experience advising on Joint Ventures, Mentor-Protégé Agreements, and strategic partnerships in the government contracting space.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex regulatory challenges and provide strategic solutions.
- Exceptional communication and client engagement skills, with the ability to interact effectively with C-level executives, government officials, and contracting professionals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs, thought leadership content, and industry presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics tools, and government contract management software.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements, conferences, and presentations.
