The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Tax team.

RTX Corporation’s tax department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to join its Tax Reporting & Compliance group.  This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.  This role reports directly to the Associate Director of Global Tax Compliance but will also work closely with various groups within and outside the tax function.  The selected candidate can be fully remote (with quarterly travel) or hybrid based in Farmington, CT and will be required to work business hours that align with Eastern U.S. time.

What You Will do:

  • Prepare and/or review U.S. income tax calculations and execute and/or assist in managing related federal income tax compliance, financial statement reporting and forecasting processes
  • Coordinate and engage with external advisors as needed on either preparation and/or review of various tax analysis, returns and/or technical questions
  • Assist in tax technical modeling and analysis related to legislative changes and potential method changes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on tax-related matters to support related tax compliance and reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Assist in gathering data and supporting the global tax audit team with IRS audits and notices, as requested
  • 5-10% Travel

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Proven collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams and organizational levels
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines
  • Experience with federal compliance processes and ability to synthesize complex information
  • Proficient knowledge of federal income tax and working knowledge of ASC 740
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and apply them to provide actionable insights

Please consider the following role type definitions as you apply for this role: 

  • REMOTE: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
