As Senior Manager, Global Facilities North Asia Mechanical at Micron, you will have the opportunity to lead a world-class team dedicated to innovation and excellence. In this role, you will ensure flawless Engineering & Design, Construction, installation, start-up, Operations, and Maintenance activities, with a focus on global standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability. Lead and Manage Multi-Discipline Engineering Team
  • Provide expert understanding of Semiconductor Facilities Mechanical Engineering Technical Domain to lead the Engineering team and support North Asia Micron Sites
  • Provide technical leadership to the group centered on strategic and operational excellence
  • Support building a skilled, strategic Engineering team through recruitment, training, staffing, and retention
  • Invest time in coaching, mentoring, and developing team member's career paths
  • Foster team involvement, motivating the group to reach ambitious objectives
  • Provide leadership on Global Facilities initiatives, ensuring transparency and alignment
  • Assist in building a coordinated strategic plan, driving innovation and ground-breaking initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement for the success of Micron's strategic programs
  • Identify and manage key performance indicators for the department
  • Provide technical advice to overcome challenges in project planning & execution

Lead Mechanical Field Engineering for Large-scale Greenfield FAB Design and Construction projects in North Asia
  • Manage area-related tasks involved in planning, carrying out, and finalizing Greenfield FAB Design and Construction projects
  • Collaborate with the entire Project team including Global and Regional Facilities, Site Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, IT, Layout and Planning, and other partners
  • Establish and maintain best-in-class Engineering and Construction practices
  • Drive cost management initiatives and ensure financial accountability
  • Ensure project scope, timeline, and budget satisfy all requirements
  • Ensure appropriate communication and collaboration with partners to deliver project objectives
  • Perform timely review of design packages, providing documented feedback
  • Ensure designs align with all standards, codes, and regulations
  • Supervise progress and provide support during construction projects
  • Provide support for project cost and schedule estimates
  • Coordinate consultant resources

Collaborate with Stakeholders, Partners, and Global Network Sites on Mechanical Field related topics
  • Initiate effective communication with team members, partners, and collaborators
  • Share updates back to the Director, Engineering Leadership, and Teams
  • Advance issues, offering options and recommendations for resolution
  • Communicate strategic department goals, project execution plans, and initiatives
  • Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions

Offer Technical Support, Direction, and Proficiency
  • Guide the team in offering consultation and assistance to Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing groups
  • Collaborate with internal partners including Technology Development Team, Procurement, Finance, Legal, etc.
  • Analyze system designs to identify improvements for better performance and efficiency
  • Support sites with technical problem analysis and problem solving
  • Benchmark within and external to Micron sites on Best Practices
  • Maintain technical knowledge in your subject area including for Industry Standards and Trends

Offer Design and Construction Project Support, Direction, and Expertise
  • Assist Design and Construction project groups in Engineering and Design development
  • Review and offer feedback/support for Micron Global Design and Construction Standards
  • Review and offer feedback on system design concepts for deployment
  • Review capacity planning databases and validate utilization assumptions
  • Participate in capacity and scenario planning across the network
  • Assess and offer recommendations regarding scope, schedule, and budget estimates for infrastructure additions or modifications

Offer assistance, direction, and knowledge in Global Initiatives Programs
  • Support and offer feedback on Micron Global Well-Established Procedures (WEP) documents
  • Support Global Facilities Programs & Initiatives, including program rollout and management
  • Assist Global Facilities Sustainability Programs aligned with Micron's Corporate Sustainability objectives
  • Support and provide feedback on Lessons Learned to be included in Global Standards and BKMs

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Semiconductor and/or Facilities related industry
  • Technical expertise on Facilities and Semiconductor Mechanical, Process, Electrical, and I&C Systems
  • Ability to build and lead teams, develop people and focus on meeting strategic objectives
  • Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good organizational skills and service demeanor
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, English Required
  • Self-motivated worker
  • Familiarity with Semiconductor Manufacturing and Facilities systems
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time or more to Micron network sites and FAB Construction project locations during Critical Project phases or Site Activities

Skills Required
