REQ13310 Senior Manager, Gaming Technical Services (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Gaming Technical Services is responsible & assisting Director Gaming Technical Services for all areas of technical operations across the whole casino floor, covering VIP Table Games, Table Games, and Gaming Machines. These operations include but are not limited to; planning and executing installations, moves, conversions, preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, sourcing, specification of and procurement of equipment. Additionally, the Senior Manager of Gaming Technical Services in assisting Director Gaming Technical Services for development of a positive staff culture that reflects company objectives and the management of staff issues such as counselling, disciplinary action and effective implementation of the Performance Management System.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributing to providing a challenging and exciting environment for team members to work within.

  • Ensuring the recognition of team member performance, including team performance, both in terms of positive desirable behavior, and in terms of substandard performance, and the management thereof.

  • Making recommendations regarding strategic and operational improvements to improve department performance in both qualitative and quantitative terms.

  • Oversee project planning and execution of all casino changes, through liaison with Strategic Marketing, Operations, Engineering, IT, Cage and Security and Surveillance.

  • Responsible for preparation of all Gaming Machines DICJ submission documentation and quarterly audit requirements

  • Assist on Installation, set up, development and adaptation of LT Gaming product, including tables modifications, media displays, reporting and server configuration.

  • Work with technical team on bulk purchase electronics parts, interchange of emergency parts, sharing technical experience, and working together to solve issues

  • Work with IT & Product team on systems for wide implementation such as Progressive system, Media system, in addition to coordinating loan of gaming machines/product & information sharing.

  • Work with Altira team on Table Games/Gaming Machines cross property project submission, transferring parts and equipment.

  • Work closely with compliance team on new product release and conduct demonstration to DICJ as and when required.

  • Design & provide optional gaming floor plan to TG/GM/IM in CAD/PDF drawing.

  • Work closely with Gaming Machines & Tables Games vendors on all software and hardware related matters.

  • Develop and maintain complete casino preventative maintenance schedule to keep all casino equipment in top working condition.

  • Plan and execute all Table Games layout changes, including liaison with suppliers to ensure adequate stocks of layouts are maintained.

  • Liaise with external suppliers on product sourcing for gaming (Tables and Slots) equipment, furniture and accessories, including design and functionality.

  • Assist with development of maintenance contracts and overseeing execution of outsourced maintenance work on gaming equipment.

  • Oversee logistic arrangement for timely delivery of gaming equipment.

  • Overseeing development, and execution of team member hiring process and training programs.

  • Ensuring all department policies and procedures are maintained on an up-to-date basis, recommending changes to reflect changes to our business operations, and ensuring that these policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Assisting with MELCO development plans including Macau and international expansion

  • Smooth and successful execution of hiring and training processes with high overall quality of team members hired.

  • Successful development of team members, and spirit of teamwork within the department.

  • Encouragement of positive and effective working relationships with related departments.

  • Regular and measurable recognition of team members’ performance.

  • Minimal breaches of department policies and procedures and effective minimization of sick leave.

  • Contribute meaningfully to strategic direction development and revenue generation initiatives.

  • Effective and efficient execution of casino projects across Table Games, VIP, and Gaming Machines areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience (please indicate minimum required and preferred experiences)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management role in significant gaming establishment(s).

  • Extensive gaming system experience.

  • Strong administration skills and proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Experience managing a significant number of team members.

  • Preference for experience in Macau Gaming Environment.

Education (please indicate minimum and preferred academic requirements)

  • Tertiary qualification preferred.

Skills / Competencies (please indicate requisite competencies that are qualified for the position)

  • Strong command of English (both spoken and written) required, with spoken and/or written Mandarin and/or Cantonese an advantage.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Sound financial analytical skills.

  • Proven motivational style.

  • Respect for, and interest in learning more of, different cultures.
