The Senior Manager, Financial Accounting is part of the Account to Report team and leads a European Manufacturing Financial Accounting team to deliver accurate and timely Financial close activities for a large set of entity codes.
This role will also provide guidance and perform complex transactions, oversee Finance data management, planning, and budgeting activities and is responsible for statutory reporting for multiple entities. It also includes support for projects and continuous improvement and liaising with Finance Business Partners in case of escalated issues.
The team reporting into the position consists of two senior financial reporting accounts and three financial assistants.
Responsibilities

Manages accounting activities in accordance with the organization's accounting policies and procedures

Directs and monitors accounting activities, ensuring effective accounting for all transactions and statutory accounts

Liaising directly with business partnering teams across the global business to meet service agreement levels

Provides advice and recommendations to management in regards to financial transactions

Ensures integrity of accounting records for accuracy and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

Timely completion and filling of local statutory audits accounts alongside delivery of group audit requests

Ensure on time working day 3 month end close submission for all reporting entities

Budget and Forecast submissions quarterly
Qualifications
-
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

Professional certification (CPA/CA) preferred
-
7+ years' experience as a General Accountant in a large company or as Chief Accountant in a small/mid-size company

3+ years' supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience

Knowledge of GAAP and AIFRS

Experience of Manufacturing is highly desired

Knowledge of SAP preferred
This role is based out of our Financial Shared Service Centre, Speke, Liverpool
Hybrid role: Office based Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
