The OpportunityThe Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to business leadership, driving financial performance, business planning, and decision support across an assigned business area and geographic scope. This role partners closely with senior leaders to translate business objectives into actionable financial strategies, providing forward-looking insights, evaluating business alternatives, and recommending solutions that optimize growth, profitability, and resource allocation.
The position plays a critical role in shaping business outcomes by leveraging financial expertise, market intelligence, and performance analytics to influence strategic decision-making. In addition, the role drives the development and implementation of financial standards, planning processes, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
How You'll Make an ImpactStrategic Business Partnership- Act as a trusted finance advisor to business leadership, providing strategic guidance on financial and operational performance to develop business strategies, growth initiatives, and investment plans.
- Support decision-making through scenario analysis, business case evaluations, and financial modeling.
- Challenge assumptions and provide independent financial perspectives to improve business outcomes.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and performance management activities.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and identify risks, opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations to improve revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, and productivity.
- Drive accountability for financial commitments across the business.
- Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide forward-looking insights regarding market conditions, customer trends, competitive factors, and business performance.
- Evaluate strategic alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on financial and business impact.
- Support investment, pricing, resource allocation, and organizational decisions through robust financial analysis.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Business Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Experience leading financial planning processes, performance management activities, and business transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior business leaders and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Solid expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, business analytics, and scenario planning.
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
