Job Description Summary

The Senior Engineering & Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical operations and engineering functions across multiple sites while ensuring smooth transition and mobilization of new facilities. The role demands strong expertise in engineering systems, strategic planning, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination to deliver cost-effective, sustainable, and high-performing IFM services.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Transition Management

  • Carry out the services Transition process and HOTO process for client spaces, landlord and Ops.
  • Ensuring service transition is planned and executed to schedule, budget and scope. Building transition plans including infrastructure/application support models, change management.
  • Lead the transition process for new client sites or portfolio expansions, including technical due diligence, risk assessment, and asset onboarding.
  • Develop detailed transition and mobilization plans, including asset verification, manpower planning, vendor onboarding, and system integration.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, project teams, procurement, and HR to ensure seamless mobilization with zero service disruption.
  • Establish baseline operations and initiate early-stage performance benchmarks.

Engineering Operations

  • Day to day operational management of the multi-site, multi-service Integrated FM contract (inclusive of technical services)
  • Optimize the contract’s financial performance, identifying areas for potential growth or efficiency savings.
  • Carry out Technical Audits across multiple sites in south India region.
  • Supporting site team and operations manager on the operation and maintenance of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC, and civil infrastructure across multiple sites.
  • Support the in-house/OEM service delivery teams to ensure high-side asset uptime and reliability (e.g., chillers, transformers, HT/LT panels, UPS, BMS, fire systems).
  • Implement robust Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules, predictive maintenance practices, and energy optimization strategies.
  • Drive compliance with statutory regulations, OEM standards, and internal SLAs/KPIs.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering department.
  • Requires the ability to analyse the operation of various site infrastructure systems, determine the root cause of any problem / malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
  • Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the Base Building and Critical Support Systems and Components.
  • Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments, giving hands on instruction in basic maintenance, safety and troubleshooting procedures, recommending relevant outside engineering courses for enrolment and instilling an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
  • Participates in facilities remodeling, new construction, and other planning activities of other departments. Manages and monitors construction and repair projects.

Project & Energy Management

  • Collaborate with clients for CapEx planning and execution of minor projects, retrofits, and asset replacements.
  • Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability upgrades.
  • Support technical audits and provide solutions for asset lifecycle extension.

People & Vendor Management

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple locations.
  • Manage AMC contracts, SLAs, and vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and service quality.
  • Conduct periodic training and technical upskilling programs for on-site teams.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain Power BI dashboards and reports on technical audits, repair & Maintenance, PPM compliance, energy usage, and incident trends.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards, health & safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
