Tasks:
As a Senior Manager Deployment (f/m/d), you serve as a key member of the KION Business Transformation (BT) Deployment Core Team, providing program-level leadership to drive the successful roll-in of business processes and solutions in line with the overall transformation roadmap.
You define, continuously improve, and govern the rollout strategy and deployment approach for standardized templates, orchestrating multiple deployment waves and ensuring consistent execution across the program.
You lead and steer country- and region-specific roll-ins, ensuring global standards are implemented effectively while aligning and integrating local requirements. You hold end-to-end accountability for critical deployment phases (UAT, cut-over, go-live, hyper-care) and ensure a stable transition into live operations.
A central part of your role is building alignment through close collaboration with country coordinators, senior stakeholders, and local teams. You apply strong IT/program management expertise and intercultural leadership to enable effective decision-making and execution across diverse environments.
You define and drive business readiness activities, including integrated deployment planning, contingency scenarios, and mitigation measures. You proactively manage risks, issues, and deliverables, chair local workstream/status governance, and lead escalations with clear structure and transparency.
You ensure a structured and sustainable handover to the receiving organization after go-live, partnering with the core team and operations to enable a successful hyper-care phase and long-term stability in business-as-usual.
Qualifications:
Mandatory ability and willingness to travel internationally (up to 60–80%), with a strong focus on North America, including availability during critical cut-over and go-live phases.
Preferred track record delivering programs/projects within the North American region, ideally in complex, multi-site and/or multi-business environments with senior stakeholder engagement.
You have a relevant academic degree in business administration, business informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable field, combined with extensive professional experience (typically 8+ years), ideally in industries such as automotive, production, logistics, supply chain, or similar environments.
You bring strong experience leading medium to large-scale change and IT/SAP transformation programs, with an excellent command of program and project management practices and methodologies. You are fully familiar with all key rollout phases (testing/SIT/UAT, cut-over, go-live, hyper-care) and confidently take ownership in critical delivery situations, including cross-functional steering and escalation management.
Independent cross-functional leadership: manages and supervises diverse teams of business subject matter experts, sets clear expectations, drives accountability, and enables effective collaboration across functions and geographies.
You work confidently with established delivery and reporting tools such as Jira, MS Project or Smartsheet, and ideally complement your experience with recognized project/program management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
