The Manager, Software Development reports to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering & Build Services and leads a global team within Enterprise Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers delivering business logic, enhancements, and integrations across enterprise platforms while driving engineering standards for code quality, security, testing, and peer reviews.
- Enable Agile and CI/CD delivery practices, ensuring quality gates, traceability, version control, documentation, and audit-ready SDLC compliance.
- Partner with Architecture, Analysis & Design, Release Management, and Operations teams to deliver scalable, supportable solutions and ensure deployment readiness and operational stability.
- Monitor and improve engineering performance through KPIs such as throughput, defect trends, cycle time, and technical debt.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience leading software engineering teams and delivering enterprise solutions.
- Strong knowledge of modern engineering practices, including Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, SDLC governance, traceability, and audit-ready delivery.
- Experience working in regulated environments (GxP/CSV, SOX) and using enterprise development toolchains, source control, and change management processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience delivering customizations and extensions on vendor-supported enterprise platforms.
- Experience with engineering quality metrics and test automation strategies.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Multiple years of experience in enterprise software engineering delivery, including people leadership or technical delivery leadership
- Demonstrated experience implementing modern engineering practices (Agile delivery, CI/CD adoption, automated testing, quality gates)
- Demonstrated experience applying SDLC controls and traceability suitable for audit-ready delivery (change traceability, test evidence, documentation discipline)
- Working knowledge of regulated delivery expectations impacting engineering (e.g., GxP/CSV documentation and SOX controls)
- Experience delivering business logic implementations and platform customizations/extensions while maintaining supportability in enterprise systems
- Experience using enterprise SDLC toolchains (source control, CI/CD, work tracking) and operating within controlled change environments
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional overnight and international travel
- Experience delivering engineering on supplier-extended enterprise platforms (customizations/extensions) while maintaining vendor supportability
