How you will make history here…

This position requires a strong communicator, accountable for creating and implementing internal communication content and forums that drive engagement and shape culture in support of business goals. This person is comfortable communicating in a multi-media, omni-channel environment to reach a range of audiences. This role will develop internal communications strategies and plans to support executive, functional and culture-based and change management communications, as well as develop internal digital content and coordinate large-scale meetings and corporate events.

Reporting to the Vice President Internal Communications this role will work interact with senior leaders and work closely with colleagues in Human Resources and other corporate functions. This role leverages sound judgment, attention to detail, and has experience executing diverse communication tactics with a continuous improvement mindset to deliver high quality work across multiple projects within stringent timelines.

What you will do…

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure internal messages are communicated to employees in a clear, timely and effective manner to create awareness / understanding of key initiatives to support enterprise Strategic Plan.
  • Counsel key stakeholders on communications strategies for continuous improvement and ongoing engagement.
  • Write, edit and produce internal communications including internal news/announcements, presentations, leadership messages, briefing materials, emails, website content, video scripts, digital signage, town halls, special programs and events, as needed for cross-functional internal audiences.
  • Develop and execute communications plans for corporate functions, with a strong emphasis on Human Resources and programs/initiatives around Total Rewards (i.e. well-being, recognition) and Talent Management.
  • Support executive communications strategies including CEO.
  • Contribute to overall communications editorial calendar and organizational communications cadence; execute against internal channels.
  • Review, edit and provide counsel on communications drafted by internal clients and make recommendations to ensure messaging is consistent.
  • Coordinate technical, legal and other stakeholder reviews to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of materials.
  • Continually improve, measure, and evaluate effectiveness of employee communications strategy and methods.
  • Manage corporate special projects communications.
  • Oversee the activities of contractors/vendors to ensure projects are done well, on time and within budget.

What you bring to the table…

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or similar degree;
  • Approximately 10-12 years of relevant experience in a communications role, particularly with corporate or organizational communications experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Internal communications capabilities and credible experience with executive, culture and change management communications;
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent projects, implementing timely communications aligned with project milestones with minimal oversight;
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills and an executive presence to support senior leaders;
  • Team player, comfortable in a matrix and ability to navigate the organization and collect input from others;
  • Digitally savvy and experience in using communications tools and platforms.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$133,700-$192,200

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
