Job DescriptionRole Overview
The Senior Manager – Corporate FP&A owns cash flow analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the group, and supports the Director – Corporate FP&A across consolidated financial reporting and analysis. This role is responsible for translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights about cash generation, free cash flow conversion, and group-level P&L movements. The Senior Manager is a trusted financial communicator to senior management and internal stakeholders, helping to ensure consistency of financial narrative and quality of insights.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Flow Analysis & Reporting - Own group cash flow analysis and reporting as the core focus of the role. Produce the monthly and quarterly cash flow reporting pack, explain movements between forecast, budget, and actuals, and make the drivers of cash generation and cash usage clear to the CFO and senior management. Build the cash bridges that connect P&L performance to cash outcomes.
Free Cash Flow & Cash Conversion - Analyse free cash flow and cash conversion across the group, including the working capital drivers behind them—DSO, DPO, unbilled and deferred revenue, collections performance, and the cash profile of the subscription base. Identify where conversion is leaking, quantify the impact, and work with commercial and operational teams to close the gap.
Cash Forecasting Process & Systems - Own and continuously improve the group cash forecast model, cadence, and controls. Set the forecasting process across entities and functions, drive accuracy through variance tracking and back-testing, and automate manual steps where the tooling allows. Maintain a single source of truth for the group's cash position and outlook.
Consolidated Financial Reporting - Support the Director – Corporate FP&A in coordinating consolidated financial reporting across the organization. Ensure consistency of data, methodology, and narrative across reporting streams. Reconcile variances, validate data quality, and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls.
Business Driver Analysis & Narrative - Analyze group-level P&L movements and their cash consequences: why did ARR change? why did gross margin move? what's driving operating leverage or expense growth? and how does each of these land in cash? Articulate the business drivers (volume, pricing, mix, productivity, retention, operational efficiency) in clear, executive-ready narratives. Provide context that helps the Board and CFO understand what's sustainable vs. one-off in financial performance.
Financial Commentary Development - Develop monthly/quarterly performance narratives, financial presentations, Board commentary, and forecasting documents, with cash flow and liquidity commentary as a standing component. Coordinate across finance functions to ensure commentary is consistent, fact-based, and highlights the drivers of business performance.
Liquidity & Financial Planning - Work with treasury and operations to model the cash and liquidity impact of business decisions. Provide early warning on cash constraints, funding requirements, or opportunities for deployment.
Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis - Support the CEO, CFO, and Strategic Finance team with rapid-turnaround analysis on strategic initiatives, business cases, market conditions, and operational performance. Build financial models that enable scenario planning and decision-making, including the cash implications of each scenario.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- 5+ years of financial analysis/reporting experience, with at least 2 years focused on cash flow forecasting, analysis, and reporting
- Deep expertise in cash flow forecasting, free cash flow and cash conversion analysis, and working capital drivers
