Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee corporate accounting operations, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
- Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules in compliance with IFRS / GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage corporate‑level accounting areas including receivables, payables, intercompany transactions, accruals, provisions, fixed assets, leases, and balance sheet governance.
- Liaise on accounting matters with the parent holding company to ensure alignment on accounting policies, reporting requirements, intercompany balances, and audit matters.
- Ensure the integrity of corporate financial records through strong internal controls, proper documentation, and consistent application and enhancement of accounting policies and guidelines, providing technical guidance as required.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants, coordinating audits, statutory reporting, and timely resolution of audit matters.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, close efficiency, and data quality through system enhancements, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop the corporate accounting team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and a strong control mindset.
- Support ad‑hoc accounting analyses, special projects, and management requests as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands‑on accounting operation experience
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, SunSystems, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting or BI tools is an advantage
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or multi‑unit service industries
- Prior experience in a corporate or regional finance role overseeing multiple entities or properties
- Audit background or experience working closely with external auditors is a plus
