The Senior Manager, Consumer Growth Marketing oversees the strategy, execution, and reporting of Roon’s growth marketing function across an expanding set of marketing channels. This position is not only accountable for the steering and implementation of Roon’s brand strategy, and crafting and leading the build-out of digital marketing plans, but is likely to introduce formal media relations, events, and new partnership initiatives over time. Additionally, the role includes e-commerce activities, ensuring that cross-platform marketing efforts effectively drive online sales and enhance the overall customer experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Roon, this role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility in managing budgets, reporting on program effectiveness, and leading cross-functional teams. Across paid, owned, and earned media, this team member will oversee both marketing plans, implementation, and team processes not limited to analytics, performance reporting, and campaign effectiveness. This person will ensure a healthy cadence of growth-driving activity and oversight of results to maximize performance.

What You Will Do

  • In conceiving and executing new growth marketing plans, you and your team will unlock the business value of untapped customer segments while optimizing current customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the strategy and shape the execution vision for Marketing and brand communications across all growth channels, working with the Director of Roon to refine and evolve the brand strategy, ensuring all marketing initiatives support and reinforce Roon’s brand value.
  • Manage and mentor a resource-efficient, two-pillar team (content development and marketing operations) while partnering closely with the teams listed below to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing campaigns: Product, OEM Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Customer Success and Technical Support, e-Commerce Operations.
  • Support the development and execution of brand strategy through campaigns that drive results at each stage of the customer lifecycle.
  • Define, develop, and continuously evolve our positioning and messaging strategy to resonate and compel our prospects, customers (and our employees) to choose us.
  • Contribute to the development of and execute a comprehensive digital go-to-market strategy leveraging email marketing, relevant social media channels, paid digital, web content, and SEO to drive engagement with our brand for customers as well as employees.
  • Monitor analytics, report on outcomes to leadership, apply the data to continuously improve efforts, and concentrate resources where we have the best ROI. Leverage market insights and recommend strategic ways to use data to measure performance, identify trends, and unlock new opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Support and lead reporting of marketing initiatives to determine the most efficient awareness and usage drivers, and optimize across channels.
  • Willingness and experience to “roll up your sleeves” and flex between strategic and tactical/execution responsibilities when needed.
  • Serve as an influential member to Roon leadership on the future and success of Roon.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience and proven success working on consumer brands or entities in global brand marketing, growth marketing, or related disciplines for internet and/or consumer technology businesses and at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to achieve an organization’s vision and growth goals through marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with B2C subscription-based business models (SaaS), e-commerce customer lifecycle management, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience marketing to consumers utilizing consumer analytics and data to drive actionable insights in developing marketing strategies and plans. Proficiency in analyzing digital metrics and using insights to drive engagement and traffic.
  • Experience conceiving and supporting ad hoc and continuous campaigns with a proven understanding of brand strategy, and communications and media planning. A track record in developing compelling consumer communication and creative that drives user engagement and links to business growth.
  • Experience in developing, scaling and influencing cross-functional teams and all levels of management. Collaboration with product development organizations including user experience will be highly useful.
  • Experience managing multiple campaigns at the same time, and working across teams to ensure we are launching our programs seamlessly, and to the highest impact.
  • Experience with both early-stage products and established products/brands.
  • An understanding of the process to assess and assemble components that make for an efficient and potent marketing tech stack.
  • An ability to drive and thrive in a fast-paced, elastic environment and manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • An ability to take initiative, with a passion for delivering results.

What’s Nice to Have

  • Experience in the digital music streaming, subscription entertainment, and/or consumer technology sectors. Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brand marketing experience may also be useful.
  • Experience working with ad tech, media and creative agencies.
  • Practical experience gathering requirements, assessing options, and assembling the components of a potent marketing tech stack.
  • A bias towards automation and tech-enabled marketing workflows.
  • Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful. Adapting to change and engaging in continuous learning and critical thinking to promote the growth of the brands and the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to quality assurance.

  • This is a remote role. Candidates must already live in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time with potential for occasional travel to the NYC area.

Salary Ranges:

USD 122,250 - USD 179,300
