JOB SUMMARY
Are you a dynamic storyteller with a passion for public relations and creating compelling content? B-Stock, the industry leader in B2B resale and secondary markets, is seeking a seasoned communications professional to amplify our brand presence and attract buyers and sellers to our platform. In this pivotal role, you will blend traditional PR expertise with creative content strategies to drive brand awareness, establish thought leadership, and educate our audience about the transformative value of B-Stock.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in PR and earned media, coupled with exceptional writing skills, a deep understanding of the retail landscape, and the ability to craft content that engages and inspires.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Public Relations/Thought Leadership
- Develop story ideas and opportunities for media pitching, feature articles, interviews, and other placements that raise awareness of B-Stock as an industry leader in the B2B resale/secondary market space
- Stay current on retail trends and propose/execute pitching ideas on how B-Stock can fit within the larger story
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists/influencers
- Prepare briefing materials for interviews and provide support to ensure a positive interview and consistent messaging
- Secure and draft byline articles in industry publications to educate readers on our value prop and enhance the company’s (and our executives’) visibility in the market
- Support Sr. Director, Communications, and Content as needed with deliverables (press releases, speaking/award submissions)
Content Creation
- Create engaging content aimed at attracting Enterprise prospects including white papers, reports, infographics, and case studies to be used in both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns
- Develop, write, and edit material for the B-Stock seller blog, designed to educate prospects and current clients
- Research topics and ideas to include in monthly eNewsletters (for Gen Merch and Mobile) and facilitate distribution with the Email Marketing Manager
- Work closely with Marketing & Sales Programs Manager to monitor the performance of content and optimize pieces based on feedback
- Build engaging presentations for webinars and trade show speaking engagements
- Keep content fresh and updated on the BStock.com Seller Resource page
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed by the marketing team
- Support the social media team by helping curate and propose seller-side content for the company LinkedIn channel
- Exhibit a strong understanding of SEO/Organic Search best practices in content creation by leveraging keyword targeting, proper content structure, and continuous improvement of B-Stock’s earned traffic goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree (BA) in PR, Communications, or Journalism
- Strong media pitching/earned media skills
- 10+ years of experience producing content for web, print, and social channels
- Experience building awareness through educational content
- B2B experience is a must, particularly with enterprise clients
- E-commerce, retail, or reverse supply chain experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with the desire to work as a collaborative team
The pay rate for this role will range between $100,000 to $130,000, per annum. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as the applicant’s work experience, education and training, skills, market data, and internal equity.
