Your Impact
As Senior Manager, Commercial Portfolio Performance based in our HQ in Sydney or Singapore, you will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Development and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will lead key commercial portfolio performance workstreams across AirTrunk’s development portfolio, helping improve reporting discipline, portfolio metrics, controls and visibility across projects and regions.
- You will play an important role in strengthening commercial governance, systems discipline and data-driven insights as AirTrunk’s development portfolio scales and enters increasingly complex markets.
- You will support the Commercial Development leadership team by surfacing risks, trends and variances early, coordinating corrective actions and driving continuous improvement across reporting, systems and commercial performance processes.
What you’ll do
- Lead key elements of the commercial portfolio performance framework, including standardised reporting metrics, data quality expectations, reporting cycles, controls and escalation processes.
- Lead the preparation and continuous improvement of commercial portfolio reporting for senior management, executives, board materials, investors and external key partners.
- Support portfolio health checks and commercial assurance reviews to identify emerging risks, trends, variances, control gaps and performance issues across projects and regions.
- Translate commercial data into clear insights, recommendations and actions for Commercial Development leadership and relevant project stakeholders.
- Drive consistent use of core commercial systems and reporting tools, including cost and contract management, procurement, project reporting and related platforms, ensuring data quality and process discipline across regions.
- Monitor commercial reporting standards, SLAs and quality expectations for project teams, ensuring timely, accurate and complete inputs into portfolio reporting.
- Partner with regional commercial leads, project teams, Finance, Treasury, Internal Audit and Development leadership to align reporting outputs, resolve data gaps and improve confidence in commercial information.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives where recurring issues, reporting inconsistencies or commercial performance gaps are identified.
- Guide and support Analysts and Systems/Reporting resources, helping to set priorities, maintain delivery rhythm and build scalable ways of working.
- Maintain and improve commercial playbooks, reporting protocols, dashboards and governance documentation to support consistent execution across existing and new markets.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial management, portfolio performance, governance and reporting, construction management, project controls or a related discipline within complex development, digital infrastructure, construction or capital delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading reporting, governance, performance management or assurance workstreams across multiple projects, regions or business units.
- Strong understanding of commercial project delivery, including cost management, forecasting, cashflow, contract administration, procurement, variations, claims, risk management and project controls.
- Experience developing and maintaining senior management and executive-level reports, dashboards, scorecards, portfolio health checks and performance insights.
- Strong data discipline, with the ability to interrogate commercial inputs, identify trends and variances, challenge inconsistent information and convert analysis into clear, practical actions.
- Experience with commercial systems and reporting platforms, including cost and contract management, project reporting, procurement, ERP, dashboarding or business intelligence tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence regional teams, functional leaders and senior stakeholders while maintaining clear standards and accountability.
- Experience guiding analysts, reporting resources or cross-functional workstreams, with the ability to set priorities, coach others and support scalable team capability.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Commerce, Law, Quantity Surveying, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
