Position Summary:
Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics to join our growing Commercial Operations and Analytics team. This is an important, new role for which the right candidate will enhance the team’s core competencies across the organization. This role will report to the Associate Director, Market Insights and will be responsible for analyzing the company's products, markets, and competition. The Senior Manager will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather relevant data from secondary data sources and primary market research to drive analyses and support the successful post-full approval growth of FILSPARI® (sparsentan) for IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and its potential approval for Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Supporting multiple cross-function stakeholders including Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Market Access, the Senior Manager’s insights and recommendations will inform brand forecast assumptions and strategic marketing and sales decisions.
The preferred candidate will bring a deep understanding of advanced analytics techniques and secondary data sources in healthcare. They will have a demonstrated ability to think creatively, combine and leverage multiple data sources to uncover insights, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Rare disease and nephrology experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Lead Key Analyses: For assigned business questions, think creatively to recommend and design appropriate methodologies to derive insights from relevant data sources. Example areas of focus include: launch performance, promotion evaluation and tracking, ROI, and ad hoc analytical support.
- Data Sourcing: Partner with IT and commercial operations to ensure data acquisition and delivery meets needs for analysis, including required IT infrastructure for reports/data. Based on business question, identify appropriate data sources (e.g., claims, hub, payer, primary research, etc) and collate data for analysis.
- Project Management: Participate in vendor selection, manage select projects/analyses day-to-day with high level of detail, report progress to team leadership, lead interpretation/synthesis of results, and ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
- Statistical Analysis and Modeling: Recommend and apply appropriate statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, or predictive models to evaluate hypotheses, uncover insights, and address specific business questions.
- Interpreting Results and Drawing Actionable Insights: Interpret and synthesize findings in the context of business questions and develop actionable recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest data analytics tools, techniques, and industry trends. Integrating new methodologies to enhance existing processes and continuously improving the quality of insights derived from data.
- Contribute to Team Resource Allocation: Participate in formulating the annual commercial analytics budget, delivering the business case for tools/data contracts as appropriate. Manage the administration of assigned budget effectively.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Sciences, Statistics, Finance, Life Sciences or related field required. Advanced degree (MBA, MA, PhD) preferred.
- 7+ years of secondary analytics experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience will be considered.
Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate secondary data, primary market research and competitive intelligence to create insights and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including IQVIA/Symphony Health Services data, Komodo, anonymized patient-level data, MMIT, and other internal and market data sources.
- Excellent working knowledge of the various methodologies/best practices of collecting and analyzing secondary data.
- Coding experience e.g., Python, SQL, R highly desirable.
- Experience with business intelligence tools e.g., PowerBI, Tableau preferred.
- Advanced skill level with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
- Excellent command of statistical modeling and optimization.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical sales, marketing and access/reimbursement with the ability to identify market drivers, trends, issues, competitive impact, etc.
- Ability to think creatively and outside-the-box to enhance business value.
- Applies basic consulting skills including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value.
- Ability to convert market analyses and conclusions into easily understandable and persuasive oral and written presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills, well-organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
- Proven, consistent history of high performance in similar role(s).
- Demonstrated track record of taking on increasing scope of responsibilities, creating and managing complex project plans, timelines, budgets, and critical paths.
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically for Company-sponsored events/meetings.
- All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform periodic face-to-face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.
Target Base Pay Range:
$120,000.00 - $165,000.00
