What is the opportunity?
The Client Experience Design & Insights (CXDI) Team consists of COEs from Design Thinking, Market Research, Profitability and Analytics with a focus on the delivery of optimized end-to-end client experiences that are aligned to the collective needs or our clients, employees, and business partners. The Senior Manager, Client Profitability supports Personal and Commercial Banking (P&CB) strategic priorities by ensuring the accuracy of multiple client profitability models (CCVM) and engaging business and finance stakeholders in supporting strategic initiatives which leverage client profitability information. The role is accountable for promoting how to successfully integrate client profitability within RBC’s data strategy to enhance and differentiate the client experience. The role is also accountable for the successful achievement of agreed upon goals and objectives, contributing to a high level of performance, a superior client experience, and high levels of employee engagement.
What will you do?

Effectively engage business and finance stakeholders to facilitate appropriate use of client profitability information in the synthesis of business strategies.

Engage key business and finance stakeholders to identify potential enhancements that will solve business problems and add business value.

Responsible for the accuracy of the client profitability model through periodic reconciliation to P&CB financial reports.

Monitor industry best practices in client profitability measurement and recommend changes as appropriate.

Manage client profitability development activities to ensure on time on budget project completion.

Enhance governance procedures to ensure financial accuracy of the model.

Promote how client profitability application (CCVM) can be leveraged for client pricing, client incentives, and product design decisions by providing advice on profitability and client diagnostic drivers to support Business Case opportunities and ROI measurements.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:

A strategic business analytics professional with 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Financial Industry.

A strong business / finance / profit orientation.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong consulting mindset to thoroughly understand what we are solving for and how to model profit drivers.

Growth mindset: doesn’t accept the status quo. Asks ‘is there a better way to do this?’
Nice to Have:

Undergraduate or Master’s degree with focus in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance)

Proficient with programming languages such as SQL
