This position supports the APAC Chief Compliance Officers in managing Financial Crimes risk across Life and General Insurance markets in APAC and Compliance risks in Life Insurance markets globally.
Responsibilities:
Financial Crimes Risks – APAC markets
- Manage inquiries and escalations on matters pertaining to Anti-Bribery & Corruption (gifts, entertainment, travel, etc.) and Sanctions (permissions for cover and payments in red flag jurisdictions, alternative sanctions exclusionary language in contracts, etc.).
- Conduct quality assurance of sanctions screening clearances across all platforms.
- Manage SDN matches from automated and manual sanctions screenings.
- Advise on Sanctions screening software connectivity across Chubb and with TPAs’ IT systems.
- Set standards and maintain APAC procedures on Financial Crimes Risks for APAC markets.
- Conduct Financial Crimes risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and deliver Financial Crimes Risk management reports.
Compliance Risks – Global Life markets
- Advise business units on initiatives and services provided to Global Life markets, embedding risk and control ownership in 1LOD.
- Support markets’ compliance teams in managing Compliance risks.
- Set standards and maintain procedures on Compliance Risks.
- Conduct Compliance Risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and deliver Compliance Risk management reports.
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related fields.
- Professional Knowledge and Experience: Sound understanding of life and general insurance regulations, international laws and ethical best practices. Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Proven experience in risk management.
